Chapter 1

Her feet slapped the grassy floor, sending her jetting past the various trees and foliage.

*Ugh, why didn't I listen to my instinct?* Rian thought.

Adrenaline coursed through her veins as she kept her breathing steady and pushed herself faster.

The sounds of paws, snapping twigs, and the distinct howls in the distance told her that her pursuers were gaining on her.

"Oh, why did I follow him to Russia? This was the last time she let a guy get in her head."

Her calves burned, her breath forming clouds in the air as she pivoted, nearly avoiding one of her pursuer's paws.

Just when she thought she was home free, she was suddenly tackled to the ground by the biggest wolf she had ever seen.

His fur was the shiniest color of grey she had ever seen, but what stood out the most were its brown eyes that reminded her of him.

Just when she thought the wolf was about to lunge at her, she closed her eyes, expecting to feel the killing blow. But when she opened her eyes, all she saw was a furious Nikolai standing there in all of his naked glory.

Rian’s heart raced as she met Nikolai’s gaze, confusion replacing fear. "What just happened?" she stammered, still catching her breath on the grassy forest floor.

"Before I tell you how I ended up here, let me take you back to the very beginning before I met the sexy Russian standing in front of me."

It all started just like any normal day for me.

The sun hung low in the morning sky as I went about my usual routine, getting dressed for another boring day at my boarding school.
