Chapter 1 Mawuihe -Arrival

I was posted to Kenya for the #saveachild foundation

NGO from Ghana in 2002. Precisely Mombasa, where I was logged with two of my colleagues in a good hotel.

I had heard about the beaches at Mombasa and wanted to see them. Maybe I should have come with Samson, my college sweetheart. We both wanted a place together at a beach like this.

From here, phone calls are what was gonna keep us in touch. I closed my locket with a picture of himself and I while we shared a kiss at his 30th birthday.

I felt the breeze already at my window.

Who didn't love the beach? I was excited to see it waves rage at the sands far off from my sill slapping off the curtains.

"Mombasa! Mombasa! so here we are", I mimicked what I had said looking at my ticket for the bus at the airport.

There was a few things to do; like arrange my luggage or probably change a few positions in my room to suit my own self but the waters called me.

I took off my coats and boots and sliding in my slippers I went out in a white polo Lacoste and blue denims.
