Chapter 1

"Father! Why must it be this way? Why can't I go over the walls?" Danielle yelled with anger in her voice while her father massaged his forehead, tired at the fact this conversation happens almost everyday.

"Danielle, we've had this talk repeatedly, there are dangerous creatures outside the walls, you can't leave." Her father responded in a stern voice, seeing that there was no hope of her father changing his mind, Danielle snorted turning around from her father before storming off in fury.

Danielle Egor, a 25 year old lady who had been trapped in the palace by stupid rules for so many years when all she wanted to do was to explore the world and go beyond the worlds.

As the only child of the King this task is a bit difficult because multiple times had she tried to escape and every single time has she been caught.

"This should work out." Danielle stared at the plan she had written overnight with a satisfied look on her face, if she indeed manages to get out, she may or may not come back to the palace again.

Nodding with satisfaction, Danielle rolled up the paper, along with a map and put it inside her undergarments.

She managed to avoid all the maids guarding her chamber, as she stealthily slipped and went towards one of the doors grabbing a torch (A wooden stick that is lit up with fire.) And threw it at the direction of her chamber.

With that, Danielle ran as fast as she could not bothering to look back, and the guards nor maid paid no attention to her as they all towards the direction of the burning cabin afraid that Danielle was still in there.

Skillfully, Danielle jumped over the wall and looked at the thick dense forest in front of her as satisfaction washed over her, she could not believe she made it here.

Danielle stood transfixed for a while trying to take in the excitement of finally escaping the palace.

After awhile she started moving picturing the kind of fun she would have in the village and with the people, but unknown to Danielle, deep into that forest, was danger waiting for her patiently.

After walking for what seemed like hours, Danielle finally paused to catch her breath when all of a sudden she heard a rustle in the leaves that startled her.

"Who's there?" Dora asked trying to contain her fear as she waved the torch around trying to get a visual on whosoever was with her in the forest, but then a huge gust of wind blew and put out the fire on the torch.

Danielle gulped nervously as she immediately reached for her pouch and brought out a protection amulet wearing it immediately, maybe her leaving the palace was a bad idea, now she was lost in the middle of nowhere, in a forest surrounded with thick fog.

Tears brimmed in Danielle's eyes, but she tried not to let them spill as she sat down on the ground.

A figure who had been following behind Danielle snickered seeing her like that, but it knew, that due to the amulet his hands were tied and the only way out was to get her to remove the amulet herself.

"Greetings, are you lost?" Danielle who had originally lost all hope looked up with excitement to see the man standing before her, she was thrown off her feet by his beauty, as the moonlight illuminated his sharp jaw and heart shaped lips, he's skin was so pale you will think there is hardly any blood in his body.

"Yes please." Danielle immediately answered with enthusiasm, happy that someone as handsome as that was the one whom found her, "Do you mind me taking you home then?" The gentleman asked leaving Danielle short for words, his voice was like that of a beautiful symphony.

"I don't have a home." Danielle lied through her teeth bowing her head pitifully, there was no way she wanted to go back to that hell hole ever again.

"Okay then, I'm Dominic." The young man introduced with a soft smile that left Danielle in a daze as she could not help but feel drawn to the man before her.

Dominic led Danielle to a tiny looking shed were he lived and it was right in the middle of the forest, making Danielle secretly applaud his confidence, because no one in their right minds would want to live at a place like this.

"Please make yourself at home." Dominic said with his sweet smile opening the door for her to get in.

Danielle marveled at thee beauty of the shed inside, although it looked rundown and worn out on the outside, it was quite exquisite on the inside.

"You can take your time to familiarise yourself with the place, I have to go some where and will be back very soon." Dominic informed Danielle going out and shutting the door with a sinister smirk on his face and like that he transformed into something that no one had ever seen before, his legs turned to horse legs and his lean weak looking body became buff ripping of the clothes he originally wore and leaving his chest out bare in the open and huge as horns grew out on his head, his eyes turning black with a golden dot in each of them.

After his transformation, he jumped up and wings sprouted out and he flapped them flying away in the dark night sky with a satisfied look and on his face, it seemed that this time around he had caught a very big fish in the river, and he is definitely going to prepare it well enough before he eats it.
