Chapter 1
" Of course it’s obvious that I’m dead ”
If [Y/N] had thought it would all turn out this way, she probably wouldn’t have left the house. However, it was already too late and there was nothing she could do about it. In fact, this day was going to be like any other for her. Although she usually didn’t like this whole “Halloween” thing, she let her friend talk her into going to this one and only party.
“How stupid I was…,” [Y/N] said to herself, sitting on one of the gravestones.
Still not really able to understand what actually happened. Her memories were jumbled, but the pain throughout her body was so real. Then how was she “alive” when she heard the opposite? Although she couldn’t be one hundred percent sure of that either. Was she alive after all, or was it the opposite of what she thought? [Y/N] couldn’t be sure of anything anymore and that was what killed her the most. She wanted to cry, but no tears flowed down her cheeks.
Apart from the pain, she felt no other change in her body. That didn’t mean she could just be a ghost now. No wonder she had to touch her right hand with her fingers, or perhaps touch the tombstone she was sitting next to. Her tiny fingers touched the stone, feeling its rough surface. However, she couldn’t tell whether it was cold or warm. Her hand didn’t pass through him, which meant she wasn’t a ghost after all.
“If I’m not a ghost, then what am I?,” [Y/N] muttered under her breath, still wondering what she could have been.
However, nothing came to her mind, because there was still some kind of emptiness inside her. Some of the memories were there, and some seemed to have evaporated. It was quite a strange sensation, but she knew that everything would soon return to normal. She slowly began to realize that she could become a vampire or a zombie. That was all she could think of, which added to the confusion in her head.
“I can cross the zombie off the list, because if I were one, I wouldn’t think about it now!,” [Y/N] noticed after a while, realizing that she wouldn’t think about it now.
She sighed heavily and began to wonder what to do next. She definitely couldn’t go home, she was one hundred percent sure of that! She was already dead to her family and she didn’t want to bother them. They would even call the police, exorcists and so on if they saw her on their doorstep. [Y/N] wasn’t happy about this, because she couldn’t walk peacefully on the street due to her appearance. What she would have missed was for the police to arrest her and tell her to give her family details.
“So what am I supposed to do next?,” [Y/N] muttered under her breath, because she certainly couldn’t sit here aimlessly.
After all, sooner or later someone would notice her here, and she wanted to avoid that as much as possible. She sighed heavily again before turning her gaze towards the dark sky. The moon had been in the sky for a long time, illuminating her lonely figure. The confusion in her head slowly disappeared and the memories slowly came back to her. What was helpful to [Y/N], but at the same time they would be of no use to her, they were of no use to her. She remembered her name and how she ended up in this place.
“And yes, no one will believe me, because I still don’t believe it myself…,” [Y/N] said under her breath, because it was the truth and there was nothing she could do about it.
No one in their right mind would believe her that a vampire saved her from death. After all, vampires don’t exist, so who helped her? With each passing moment, [Y/N] was more and more confused and so far she had not seen anyone who could dispel her doubts. She sighed once again, slowly losing track of time in this regard. She slowly digested what came back to her mind, because it was too much at once. It seemed like it was going to be a party like any other. More than that, it was a party to celebrate her birthday. No one expected then what would happen some time later. With blurry eyes, she looked towards the tombstone on which her name and surname were written. She knew perfectly well that today was Halloween, which she had been looking forward to so much.
“By the way, how did I end up in the cemetery and who was in my place in the coffin?,” [Y/N] noticed after a while, realizing that if she was here now, she couldn’t be there, she was one hundred percent sure.
Or the coffin was simply empty, or worse yet, they cremated a body that wasn’t hers. Either way, she couldn’t just get up and head towards her family home. Especially since she didn’t know what cemetery she was in. So there was no way she could come back just like that. So where was she supposed to be now? It was a good question because [Y/N] had no idea. Just as she realized this, five black beings began to emerge from the darkness. At the moment she couldn’t figure out who these beings were. Because the moon, out of spite, was covered with dark clouds that appeared out of nowhere.
" It’s a parade filled with beast ”
As if the moon didn’t want to reveal who they were at all costs. However, [Y/N] could tell that one of them was wearing skirts or a dress.
“I think I’m getting worse…,” [Y/N] muttered under her breath, hoping that it was a dream and she would wake up from it.
Because words and sentences that she didn’t even understand began to flash through her mind. Especially since they didn’t belong to her at all! Either way, [Y/N] looked at with confused eyes, these beings were emerging from the darkness that enveloped them. The sight was too amazing for her to do anything. It was happening too fast for her brain to register it. Normally she should be scared, but for some reason she wasn’t. She felt as if she knew these beings and knew that she didn’t have to be afraid of them. Therefore, she did not move from this place, but waited for them to approach. She didn’t know why, but she knew that only they would be able to answer the questions that bothered her.
" Even if I awaken from my dreams, they never end ”
“It couldn’t get any worse, right?,” [Y/N] thought after a while, because she had somehow come to terms with her current existence.
Before the moon emerged from behind the clouds again, illuminating not only her, but also those who approached her. At first, [Y/N] couldn’t really see them, as if something was bothering her. Due to which she could barely see black silhouettes, getting larger and larger with each passing moment. She blinked about twice to make sure she was seeing correctly. Because she wasn’t 100% sure about it, and that really annoyed her. She felt uncomfortable because she didn’t know what would happen to her next. She certainly couldn’t go home anymore, so where was she supposed to go? She watched as these black creatures made of shadow were getting closer to her with each passing moment. And the closer they got, the more the darkness left them. Which, as we all know, was ridiculous, but it was the truth! [Y/N] had no idea what these beings wanted from her.
“Maybe I can learn something from them?,” [Y/N] thought after a while, hoping that she would be able to talk to them.
The moon hid and emerged from behind the clouds from time to time. Which gave it an even darker meaning than she thought. In complete silence she watched what would happen next. Because she didn’t really know [Y/N]’s intentions. So she had to keep her guard up, which wasn’t as easy as she thought. This was because she began to have the impression that she had seen these people somewhere before. But at the moment she couldn’t remember where. Which irritated her even more, but she couldn’t help it. At first they acted as if they didn’t notice her because they were busy talking to each other. They were discussing something heatedly, but she didn’t know what it was.
