Chapter 1 - The Move
Tranquil Haven. An apartment complex that’s well maintained, covered in grey and white, and has many floors. Nathan, a guy with brown hair and wearing a blue shirt, jeans and glasses, turns around the street corner, enters the newly remodeled parking lot, and quickly manages to find an available parking spot.
“Thank God.”
As soon as Nathan parks his car, a blue car then arrives, and once the car parks in the empty spot next to Nathan, a woman with darkish hair then steps out. Chloe, Nathan’s younger sister, then lets out a massive smile as soon as she notices Nathan.
“Nathan! So, what can I do to help my big bro?”
“Just help me to move some of the stuff here.” Nathan says as he points to the inside of his car. Chloe nods, and as they take the boxes through the furbished elevator, the two talk about random tidbits, such as movies and memories from their childhood. After they put the last of the boxes into the apartment, and the apartment has the basic items you would expect to find, with blue-ish grey walls, Chloe says-
“Remember that time when we ran around the park?”
“Oh yeah! When you tripped and ended up getting mud all over yourself? Mom was so mad! And Dad couldn’t stop laughing!”
“Oh god yeah.”
Chloe ends up laughing as she remembers the memory. The door opens, and the two look towards the door to see who entered. A woman, who has blonde hair and dressed in a basic T-shirt and jeans, walks through, and says-
“Oh hey! I assume you’re Nathan?”
“Yup! Nice to meet you!”
As Nathan says this, Nathan holds out his hand, and the woman shakes his hand, and, with a big smile, says-
“Nice meeting you too. Name’s Natalie.”
After the two of them shake hands, Natalie then notices Chloe was standing next to Nathan, and proceeds to ask-
“And you are?”
“We’re siblings. Name’s Chloe!”
Chloe also holds out her hand, and Natalie smiles while proceeding to shake Chloe’s hand. Chloe then looks at her watch, and says-
“Oh crap! I gotta go! Don’t wanna be late to my second shift!”
“Bye Chloe. Just be safe.”
Chloe nods and swiftly manages to leave the room after giving a quick wave to the both of them. Natalie then turns to Nathan, and says-
“And? What now?”
“I don’t know. Maybe we should learn more about each other.”
“All right. Maybe we can talk about it on the way to the grocery store.”
“All right. That sounds great!”
Tranquil Grocery Store. Filled with many items you would expect to find in a store. Covered in blue and white paint on the outside, and 10 aisles in the inside, with tiles covering the floor. After parking the car, Nathan and Natalie walk across the parking lot, feet smacking against the pavement, and then smacking against the tile floor when they enter the inside of the shop. They’re talking about any random thing, with huge smiles appearing whenever they find something they’re both interested in.
“Oh yeah. The movie that released recently? I’ve seen it. It was pretty good.”
“I know right? It was better than the prequels at least.”
Natalie nods in agreement, as she looks at the fruits. As she turns the corner to check out the drinks, she sees that a man in a oversized coat staring at her for a second before quickly moving his head to look at something else.
“Nathan?”
Nathan then pokes his head from around the corner and says-
“Yeah?”
“You see that guy-”
As she turns to point at the man, the both of them notice the man turning a corner. Natalie turns back to face Nathan and says-
“That was weird.”
“It was... Hopefully he won’t come around again. Let’s go.”
After paying for their items at the check out, they walk back to their apartment hallway, continuing to talk about random subjects. After entering, Nathan notices a letter on the floor. He opens it up and it says-
‘Welcome to your new home! Hopefully nothing happens....’
Nathan then cocks his head to his left in confusion.
