What is your opinion?

Fascinating Story!

"The author's writing style is fantastic! I love the world-building and descriptions of magic in the story. Clythia is one of the most interesting protagonists I have read about in a long time. The author is not afraid to show her good and bad sides, making the reader love and hate her all at the same time. The presence of the blight over the lands shrouds the story in a veil of suspense. And the mysterious Tiyus is another added level of intrigue. This story is very well written, with only a few grammar and spelling mistakes. The only criticism I have is that there are a lot of things happening in the story. From multiple lands to a whole handful of side characters, it can be a little challenging to follow who is from where and what their title/job is. But other than that, the story is wonderful! Great job, author! I will certainly be continuing to read this story!"

Fantastic fantasy!

"This is a stroke of genius. The assortment of characters gives us a mix of flavors that work so well off each other. The MC is such a dynamic, morally gray character with plenty of flaws that it makes her incredibly realistic. The back story and the richness of the magic and the races is so well done, it almost feels like they're new additions to the genre altogether. I am so pleased to have been able to read this and I have no doubt this will become a modern fantasy classic. "

STRONG FL IN A WHOLE NEW LEVEL!!!

"I admit that I love strong, determined, female character. And here, Clythia is all of the above! I adore her though I gotta admit she makes me scared (sometimes) 🤣 Before I begin, let me say something first. I am sorry to the author for reviewing it for so long maybe a month? Or two? My gosh, sorry Pearl! Anyway off to the plot. Okay I gotta admit I am not a native english speaker, english is more like my second language 😅 Thus reading a high fantasy is not really my definitions of enjoyment unless if its a translated one. However!! I still manage to read this and I have to admit this one turns out pretty good! It began with a great beginning. All the seven creatures that shaped this world gather to solve the mystery of their weaken strength and othee various problems. Pearl introduced us to many interesting characters and to this date I am still holding my ground, I love the Vampire King a lot!♡ After that eventful and witty starts, we went to see Clythia deal with her magic weakening and tried to find way to restore it. It is honestly very unique and compelling and unlike I've ever read before especially since Clythia has a strong, fierce, quite scary personality haha. Also, this is probably my first g x g ever. No idea if it holds but from the beginning I guess Clythia's ex was a girl so it is also a new fresh air for me to read. For those who like high fantasy I will totally recommend to try reading this. The amount of details and beautiful adventures really shown the talent of Pearl in crafting a greay fantasy story. Good job Pearl!"

Fear the Blight!

"It’s difficult for Clythia the witch to admit she needs help. Stubborn and independent, she prefers to rule her land with peaceful means and by magic. But even Clythia knows the price she and her people will pay if the Blight is permitted to continue in her country. She summons the strongest in all of Zyvern, King Morven of the Vampires, the werewolf Prime and many others including her former lover, the goddess Hypoxia. At the end of the meeting, Clythia decides that their only solution is to contact The Sovereign. Even here lies great danger, for the Soverign is a power that cannot be controlled. Clythia is willing to take that chance, knowing a great leader must sometime take risks. The only problem is …are the others willing to do the same. This was a good story that kept my interest. Pearlswitch is very good at weaving intrigue into this novel and building intricate worlds. Clythia certainly is a fascinating character, though my favorite was the queen of the gods Hypoxia. Can’t wait to learn more about her. Anyway be sure to give this novel a try the next time you crave a fantasy world."

Badass female lead

"This story is set in a rich world. I love the different kingdoms and the mysticism surrounding it. I love the interplay of the magical races, and the divide between them caused by the mysterious sovereign. Finally, the lead character is refreshingly well-developed. She's brutal, but it makes sense and I love how the author has embraced the hard facts of being a monarch. I'm excited to see where the story goes!"

Lore Heavy Storytelling and the Anti-Hero

"If you're looking for a casual read, this story is not for you in the best possible way imaginable. The author has taken it upon themselves to create a rich, diverse fantasy universe and craft within it unique characters that are so distinctive they could have novels' worth of backstory to them. As of writing this review, there are only eight chapters to this story, but I'm sure the author has a lot more in store to continue this epic tale. The story follows Queen Clythia, and the author does a fantastic job of portraying her complex characteristics and motivations. Clythia stands on morally gray ground, and the author balances her abrasiveness with moments of softness and weakness perfectly to show that while she may do bad things, she's not entirely a bad person. She is, to me, the definition of an anti-hero and I am eager to see where the author goes with her character development. The rest of the characters, along with their interactions with Clythia, are developed through well-written and witty dialogue. The author utilizes lengthy, vivid, and vibrant descriptions to paint a picture of the world they've crafted, and they succeed very well in lighting up the senses with their written illustrations. Many novels suffer from white room syndrome, but this story, with all the worldbuilding it has, does not. Unfortunately, there are a few criticisms. Reading this story can be a tad overwhelming. While the characters are diverse, there are many of them, and oftentimes they're introduced in quick succession of each other. There are very few characters, besides our protagonist, we know longer than just a few paragraphs. This can make it difficult to keep track of who's who and who rules where and who does what. Additionally, there are a few grammatical errors scattered throughout the story, but none are jarring enough to completely hinder the reading experience and can be rectified with minor editing. All in all, this story has the potential to be a legendary saga, and the author is off to a strong start. It's exciting to think of where this story can go and how it will develop and end."
