CHAPTER 1 – ARIANA GRACCIE
LIFE FOR A SLAVE WAS LIKE THAT OF A BIRD STUCK IN A CAGE. NO MATTER HOW MUCH IT TRIES IT WOULD NEVER ESCAPE EXCEPT IF LET OUT BY ITS OWNER.
BUT FOR ONE UNLUCKY BIRD. HER STORY BEGAN WITH A GREAT FALL.
“Argh! Let go of me! I said let go of me… you’ve got the wrong girl, ahh!”

She was hit on the face by the man who held her by the hair. All her life she was treated like a princess, never have she laid her hand or dirt talk less of imagine Being hit by a man.
Who was she?
Well only the most precious daughter of duke Graccie, the king’s most trusted brother and subordinate but after his unfortunately death the life and safety of his family were placed in the hands of her foolish fiancee.. Baron Dennis.
Bang!
She was pushed to the ground as she felt her head hit the hard wooden floor.
Just then, sounds of footsteps approaching was heard and soon an unfamiliar face of a man filled with scars appeared before her.
Dressed in a tacky yet refined way, he was both scary yet intriguing to look at.
“It looks like we’ve got our self a big fish boys!” stated the scarred man as both he and the other men present let out an annoying chuckle.
Upon seeing this, Ariana cried out, “Please, you got the wrong person.. I am Ariana Graccie and my father is Duke Graccie, I’m very sure you got the wrong person!” she tried to explain.
She had only gone out for a walk down her garden when she was kidnapped and brought here by those weird men.
Bending down to her level, the scarred man said in a love tone, “Listen Little lady, in all my life of doing this kind of business.. I have never one day made any mistake. You weren’t brought here by mistake little lady, you were sold to us and so you are officially a property of the black market!”
He revealed , his words sending shiver down Riana’s spine.
Who the hell could sell her to the black market and why?
There were the thought going through her mind as she was in awe.
Not giving the young lady some time to digest her situation, The scarred man instructed, “Take her away and get her settled in and taken care of. Tomorrow she will be sold, Take her now!”
And with that, she was dragged away never to get a freedom again.
Meanwhile,
Dressed in a black suite was a man who’s left hand held a long stick and the other a black book. He was dressed neatly as every step made by him was flawless and charming.
Finally stopping in front of a brown door, he signaled the maid in charge to announce his arrival and she did just as instructed.
“Your highness, the minister of right wants to have an audience with you!” she declared as the room remained silent until a deep and hoarse voice was heard from within.
“Let him in,” the Duke said as the door then opened with the man making his way in with a stoic expression.
The room was dark and gloomy, just like he had expected. He had heard so much about the weird personality of the Grand Duke.
A man with a charming and unrivalled face yet a dark and demoniac aura.
“I greet the Grand Duke Nathaniel,” he bowed slightly as the man in front just sighed as rested his head on his arm chair.
“Go straight to the point, why are you here?”
“I am here with orders from the king. His Majesty the King has a task for you, it's concerning the recent actions of the black market currently in the capital!”
“The King could assign the task to anyone, why me?” he questioned as he seemed quite unbothered.
“His Majesty says who are the best own for the job and has ordered you by the imperial board to complete this task before tomorrow ends!”
He said as he then bowed and left the room but he left the black book behind for the Duke to read true.
Nathaniel Rutherford, Also known as the Grand Duke and most hated man in the kingdom.
Known for his deadly glare and unquenchable lust for women and power, he has been hated and targeted by different nobles and even the king.
He was a man who everyone wished to see his end and downfall but yet he was able to conquer every obstacle and remain rich and victorious till this day.. now he wondered what the king had in mind for his sudden actions.
Soon morning came and waking up to the loud bell was Ariana. Her face was swollen from all the crying and her body was arching as she wasn’t used to sleeping on the floor.
Just then, a woman walked in.. dressed brazenly, her body was quite visible through her clothes and her face was filled with heavy make-up which made her look beautiful yet disgusting.
“Rise and Shine, princess. You have a long day ahead so you can’t sleep any longer!” she said as Ariana stood up slightly, blinking her eyes nonstop at the new surrounding.
Soon memories from what had occurred last night started to flash across her mind.
She remembered clearly now, she was kidnapped and sold to the black market yet she was still unaware of who had sold her off and why?
Just before she could say a word, she felt someone hold her from behind as a clothe was placed on her nose and before she knew it, she passed out.
But when next she woke up, she found herself in a unfamiliar placed wearing the most seductive gown she had ever seen.
