Children of Legend

In the beginning, there was Chaos, God of the universe. Then, it wasn't just him anymore. Chaos had five children, they were this-- Gaea, Goddess of the Earth. Tartarus, God of the Underworld. Nyx, Goddess of the Night. Eros, God of Love and Sexual Attraction. And finally, Erebus, God of darkness.

Gaea, without a male, brought forth three children. Uranus, God of the Sky. Ourea, God of the Mountains. And Pontus, God of the Sea. She then lay with her eldest son Uranus, and gave birth to 12 titans, the most relevant to our story being Cronus and Rhea, then to three cyclops.

Cronus and Rhea got together and birthed the New Generation of Olympians: Zeus, Poseidon, Hades, Hestia, Hera, and Demeter, who eventually overthrew the titans and took over their creation.

After the birth of the humans, the God's began to walk among them and eventually began to have children with them. Those children became known as Demigods. There are many legends written about them such as Heracles and Perseus. Their trials are forever written in history as great feats, however; the young hero we will be reading over today may be the greatest of these.

Granted immortality, and named for Perseus, who was the first to take off Medusa's head, this young hero faced many trials and hardships, and has still has such a long and hard road ahead.

This is a story of Perseus 'Percy' Jackson. This is his legend, forever immortalized just as he was.
