The only thing I found troubling was an over use of the word shriek. It would serve you better if some of your characters yelled, or screamed and hollered. Save the shriek for the last, as the shriek always wins in the end🌹"

"Folks, if you’re ever tired of reading romance after romance and want something new and refreshing to fill your time, I suggest you give this a try! This is pure teen comedy about two twin brothers who used to be partners in crime—pulling pranks and doing all kinds of ridiculous things—until they drifted apart. But don’t worry! This story isn’t depressing at all—in fact, it’s the opposite! The narrative is hilarious, the diary entries are amusing, and their antics are downright crazy. 🤣🤣 I love their naughty personalities as kids, and I love, love, love Cody even more. His sarcastic personality, combined with his endless naughty surprises, is such a breath of fresh air in the Inkitt world, where heroes are often strong, perfect, broken, or depressed. In the year I’ve been exploring Inkitt, I’ve never come across a character as bright and fun as him. 🥰 Love him! The writing is light, humorous, and easy to follow! That said, there are a few areas where the writing could be polished a bit more—some parts are neat, while others are less so. If Neri has time, I’d suggest editing those sections to make the reading experience even smoother for readers. :) Also, it would be helpful to differentiate between the diary entries and the main dialogue or story timeline to make the flow more pronounced and avoid confusion. "The author has done an amazing job of immersion of the point of view. You feel like you're actually not just reading a diary but looking through the eyes of the person. The humor is extremely good,I don't want to compare it but it reminds me of zack and cody, and the nostalgia of my own childhood and the trouble I got in😂😂. Sibling dynamics, consistent characters and overall theme are also on point and wellfully fleshed out.There are tiny errors that interrupt flow in some areas but thats okay. Execution and story writing,and plot as well as relatability is wonderful."

"No one does trouble like Cody and Brody. Their very names inspires eye rolls from their fellow high school students and groans from fed up teachers. But it’s not Cody’s fault if he felt like shaving his brother’s hair off as he slept and then glueing said hair onto Brody’s chin and groin. And it’s not Brody’s fault if the girls preferred him to his identical twin brother Cody. Not that there is much physical difference between the two. Both of them have sparkling brown eyes that the girls can’t seem to resist. Their charming, good looks however doesn’t stop either brother from depositing a well placed banana peel that trips Ms. Wong causing her to break her pelvic bone. When the school building explodes, due to the twins antics, their parents finally decide they had enough. But even they can’t control Brody and Cody’s wild behavior. Even so the two boys manage to make it to adulthood. Now they are old enough to share their childhood diaries with their own children. But even as grown men neither Uncle Brody or Uncle Cody has lost that sparkle in their eyes, or an appetite for trouble. This was a delightful read, fun and humorous as we learn about the adventures of two trouble-making twins. In fact they get into so much trouble, I was a little worried for them at first. It’s a relief to know that both boys made it to adulthood without getting into too much danger in the process, I hope. 🤣"

I highly recommend— doctor’s prescription! 🫶 Seriously. An interesting story about two siblings, twins to be precise, their bickers, and moments spent together. When your brother’s a maniac and does hurtful pranks for fun, what do you expect? Everything in your life should surely go wrong. Give it a read! "

A Lovable And Endearing Story of Two Brothers
"The Maniac’s Diary is a great mix of humor, tension, and heartwarming moments. The dynamic between Cody and Brody is well-written, and their fallout is handled amazingly. However, the book contains some grammatical mistakes, although they don’t detract from the overall quality of the book and its readability. The plot is amazing and well-paced, but it dips in quality at the conclusion, which felt unnecessarily drawn out. Perhaps a less stretched-out ending would’ve worked better. Despite that, the story was a joy to read, and while it’s flawed, it’s also very incredible. I recommend it to anyone."
A Funny and Loving Tale!
"What a fun/funny story about two brothers and the life lesson they learned on how to treat one another! This story not only caused the reader to laugh out loud at the humorous shenanigans of the main characters Brody and Cody. But, it also reached some deeper depths that focused on the importance of companionship and compromise between brothers. It is a fabulous read for any person that has a sibling and is very relatable in that way. I think the author really knows how to make an audience laugh. Her formatting wasn't the most grammatically correct but somehow, that fit her style in this story. My note to the author would perhaps be to watch the way she jumps between some of the newer characters. Especially toward the end, so that the story remains easy to follow."
