Brilliant

"One of best stories I have ever read. Brilliant writer. Cant stop reading, the writer makes you feel as if you are watching a movie, you can see the person as if you are watching him with the surrounding environment Highly recommended."

A compelling read!

"Dan Brown move over! If you enjoy this genre of book like I do, then this is a must read. The story is a perfect blend of both fact and fiction. There is authenticity in the accurate descriptions of time and place, and an ability to create great fictional characters. With each chapter, the author takes you on a journey of discovery and mystery leaving you wanting more. A suspense filled well-written novel that I highly recommend reading. As an aside, the grammar and spelling in this story is impeccable so I don't agree with the #4 rating given by the reviewer Heenakhan. Her review is way off base."

Superb!

"This is by far the most professional and well executed novel I have had the privilege of reading on this site so far. The author is clearly very well educated on his topic and meticulous in the weaving together of both fact and fiction to create a truly remarkable story. The author has painstakingly crafted his novel in wonderfully cinematic detail, allowing the reader to be swept along with the story and experience everything from the musty offices of an academic to the breathtaking sunset over the Marmara Sea as though experienced first hand at his character's side. This was truly a wonderful read and recommended for anyone looking for a wonderfully crafted well researched story. This one is definitely going in my Favorites list. :)"

The Package

"Definitely the best book I have read in a long time! It had me gripped from beginning to end. Clearly the author has been to the places he describes, as have I, and he captured their vibrancy, culture and light beautifully. I love the fact that he wove a story between modern day and ancient times. His writing style reminds me of Wilbur Smith as he is very descriptive and can transport you to the time and place with his words. I got lost in the words and went on a fantastical journey. Highly recommend for a great read!!"

Good book

"While this book's writing quality can not compare with that of Dan Brown, the content is immensely superior. Even so, I won't lose sleep wondering why this book hasn't been published yet."

Captivating read

"The package is a tightly woven story that mixes fiction with history, and fluctuates effectively between the past and present. The reader is often in for a treat with this well crafted story, that questions christianity and implicates a major figure from the bible into creating a fraud. The writer could improve his book by cutting down on the lengthy descriptive passages in the opening chapters. Likewise, the pace of the story could be improved. Too often, the reader has to wade through lengthy dialogue between the characters that often turns into a discourse on religion or conspiracy theory, becoming tedious for the reader who is left wanting to get on with the story. A recommended edit could bring about a great novel, albeit a controversial one."

Went a little over my head.

"A great read, it hits that spot for me that sits right between your Dan Brown schlock and your serious crime thrillers, your noir mysteries. The opening is tense and sets the scene well and then the inter cutting with the past is a nice touch to build upon the mystery further and bring in a fresh additional level of intrigue. I really love stories that do that, it just adds something out stretching the story entirely, linking the past and the present. Honestly it's a little slow, a little dry and a little too cerebral for me I like what I like, you can tell in my writing. I prefer hard hitting action from the start and this story is very methodically paced and I have a very short attention span, But I'm fairly young, so I'm guessing it's not really aimed at my age bracket and I think an older lover of mystery/thriller epics would be thoroughly engrossed in this if and when it goes to print. Overall, solid, well researched work, a great deal of time and effort evidently gone into it."

Can do with some tightening, Decent work

"I like the opening line of your book, except the first chapter goes on for too long inside the mind of the protagonist. I literally skimmed over it. Consider breaking it with dialogues? The description goes on for too long. The vocabulary used is vivid, but language can do with some tightening, at times I can smell a cliché. there are places where I like the flow of words. Istanbul is well described, but sometimes the description is way too much, even while describing the protagonist’s state of mind… try using stream of consciousness rather than plain vanilla description which gets too obvious at places. Make every word count, if the word is adding no value, chop it off… often it takes many rounds of editing to see one’s text differently. Sometimes, it also takes many pairs of eyes to spot excess words. I am not sure of the word count of your book, but consider tightening it if it is exceeding 80,000 words otherwise it gets difficult to hold reader’s interest. This is completely my point of view, and am sure different people would think differently."
