Prologue

"The Mumbai floods have not only caused serious damage to the city and the people but has caused great damage to life. People have lost their family members, some are still missing. According to the sources, there are less chances for the missing people to be found as the opened gutters have flowed peoples along wit—"

"Enough mom, when will you stop watching that stupid news!" Switching the TV off, Owi shouted looking at her mother. But regretted it the moment she saw her tears filled face.

Controlling her own tears, she whipped her mother's tears and placed her head on her lap.

"Don't believe those news mom. They aren't true."

His business is going very well, in fact, it's more successful than before. It kept on increasing. After all, it's his hard work that he achieved the position of his company to where it is right now.

He came to his house after a few days after his mother and grandma's request. It has been his routine. He would work-work-work, eat and sleep at his office or his flat and won't go to his house. His Ajji and Aai had requested him to come home.

His mother made all his favourite food and as always, he completed all of his food in almost 10 minutes. This is how fast he ate his food; and as usual, he went to his room with a bottle of strong alcohol. Without switching on the light, he said on the floor and gulped the complete alcohol bottle. He ordered more alcohol from the house helpers and kept drinking it.

Red eyes, dark circles, messy hair, loose tie, body stinking of sweat and alcohol; he looked a complete mess. He slept on the floor putting one leg on the sofa and other on the floor, spreading his hands and holding the bottle of alcohol in one of his hands. A few drops of tears flowed from his eyes even in his sleep.

From the door of his room, Nishant once again saw the state of his elder brother. His condition kept worsening day by day. "I'm sorry, Dada." He murmured to himself and went from there with guilt and only guilt.

Kneeling, he holds the hands of Nahush in his and looked at his brother's blank eyes. Even today he received no reaction from him. How long it has been to that fateful day and the last day his Dada has talked to him. Let alone talking, he does not receive even a single reaction from him. But can he complain? Huh, no...

Gathering lots of courage, he took a deep breath and said in a go, "Dada, whatever I told you about Vahini was...was..."

His heartbeat was raising very fast. Not able to complete his words, he slowly looked at his brother but again found no reaction.

Stammering, Nishant said what he had to say with great difficulty. But he said, his body didn't react to it. Calm... He was very calm. And Nishant feared his calmness. He could bear all the harshness of his Dada but not this. Not his calmness. Did he really make his brother lose his emotions? His calmness was making him scared and worried. Little did he know, his brother's heart was beating to a high beat even without his knowledge.

"Dada... Ple–please say...say something please..." He begged, holding his hands in his.

"I'm sorry, Dada. Plea—", he stopped when Nahush slowly removed his hand from Nishant's hold.

"I know."

"Please tell me where is she." He pleaded, requested joining his hands together.

"I'm sorry to say but she's n-"

He woke up abruptly; sweat covered all over his face.

"Another nightmare..." He whispered closing his eyes, praying for good dreams.

Namaskar Mandali!

Surprised with this sudden update after such a long time?

Well, I am surprised too.

With a very tight schedule, it wasn't possible for me to publish the 2nd part of Thread Of Love.

But how can I not when someone special had already wished this as her birthday present?

Wish you many many happy returns of the day dear AnkitaGhosh205❣❤

You must have thought I forgot, haven't you?

But I didn't 👻

And all you my dear readers, I have made you all wait for so long!

I apologize for making you all wait and another apology as you all will have to wait for more.

As you all know, I had already told you that I will start updating Book 2 once I finish writing the complete book.

But I have published this book today because some reader had asked to publish at least the prologue and I am more than happy to accept it.

So, what do you think of the prologue?

What did Nishant say to Nahush?

And... What's with Nahush's behaviour?

Why is the book 2 name 'Thread Of Trust'? Guess, guess...😉

Bless the book with your valuable votes and comments, Mandali!

🙏A request mandali,

Can anybody make a cover for this book, please?

I have a  very tight schedule so I cannot make a cover. It will be a great help if you do so and obviously, I'll give credit to your cover.

Next update will be when I complete writing the entire book.

Scarlet Souls readers, follow me on my Instagram handle, gonna post something interesting related to it over there🔥
