Chapter 1

After escaping from the Spiders Den all of the players were absolutely exhausted. They managed to level up after all of the intense fights they just experienced.

The first thing they did was set up camp for the rest of the day. They unanimously agreed it was better to reset before exploring new lands.

Scar summoned Fortress and inspected him.

Fortress had grown again and was already 15 feet long at this point. Scar guessed that the growth would slow down since he finally caught up to the rest of the group in level.

Fortress could now be a key component of the group, Scar figured now was the best opportunity to start devising strategies for the entire team.

He spent the rest of the day doing exactly that with Brigita, she agreed to help him practice. Her idea to start was something he never thought about despite being quite obvious.

She recommended staying on Cyrus but using him as a mount up until combat started. The moment combat started he could decide who to instantly unsummon.

This was so simple yet efficient, he decided to immediately put it into practice. They then started discussing potential combat situations.

The rest of the players all signed out leaving them alone. The players were extremely excited but equally exhausted, they told Scar that they would meet up later.

Once they were alone Scar asked Brigita a question he had after the fight.

“So about that Brood Mother, Charlotte ate its leg and there was some message about evolution requirements being met. Do you think the conditions are for her to eat the rest of the corpse or something.”

Brigita was surprised to hear this, she looked at Charlotte quite seriously before responding.

“That is probably one option, if she eats the corpse she will likely turn into something similar to that Brood Mother. From what I know that isn’t the path you are pursuing, so I believe it is wise to avoid doing so.”

Scar nodded his head, Charlotte could become like that epic tier creature but most of her power would then be in having children.

Charlotte clearly had zero interest in that like Brigita thought, therefore it was better to pursue another path.

Scar was hoping to discover the path to pursue his pets’ evolutions but it hadn’t been so easy. He might just have to wait for Avalon to naturally evolve.

The rest of the day the 2 had meaningless conversations while Scar cooked. First thing the next day the duo started traveling again.

They didn’t want to wait for Magma and his friends since this was originally an adventure for the 2 of them. As they started traveling, Scar asked Brigita a question.

“What information has been reported on this zone so far? What are we in for today?”

Brigita immediately responded with an answer.

“This is a poisonous plant forest, there are little to no creatures here. All we need to worry about is the flora and fauna here.”

This was a first for him, wait was it. Scar thought about the shady valley that apparently debuffed all players.

Scar wondered if his title Fairies Blessing would also play a role here. The only way to tell is by exploring, it didn’t take long for the first opportunity to appear.

(Imagine much more colorful)

In front of him was a tree with colorful plants growing along equally colorful leaves. Scar was fascinated with the scene.

“Be careful, that must be dangerous.”

Scar didn’t listen as he tried approaching it. One of the flowers on the tree shot out a puff of dust straight into his face.

“What are you doing! Get out of there!”

Scar only smelt an extremely floral scent, he thought it was like lemon zest. Seeing Scar take a deep sniff of the dust stunned Brigita.

“I’m fine I think, I have something called Fairies Blessing. It’s a shame this is probably poisonous, it smells so good.”

“You have the Fairies Blessing? No wonder.”

Titania who hadn’t let her presence be known for a while showed her gaze. She was incredibly haughty, seeming to say ‘my blessing is great right, you thought it was useless before didn’t you’.

Scar completely ignored her like usual but Brigita couldn’t do the same. She seemed incredibly awkward and it was obvious to any observer.

“Little girl don’t be so stiff, I don’t care about you so pay no attention to me.”

With these scornful words Titania started looking at Scar and Elvinia again.

“Scar there is another village ahead, I would like you to go there soon. This time it isn’t such an easy problem, I will allow you to bring the girl, so hurry.”

Scar responded simply to Titania.

“Will do.”

After saying this Scar went back to sniffing the plant. Titania’s gaze slowly disappeared after this as if she was busy.

“Um, may I ask a question.”

Hearing the shy voice of Brigita that only came out when he teased her, Scar was confused. He nodded casually.

“Does the mother of fairies also look at you?”

“Ah that’s why you were so shy, don’t pay any attention to her, she is just a doting mother. As long as you treat her children well she will do the same.”

After saying this Scar stopped thinking about the topic. Scar had grown numb to being observed by Titania but it wasn’t the same for others.

Apparently it was quite unique for that to actually be the case, even apostles usually had privacy but Scar wouldn’t learn that until much later.

Brigita also didn’t dare to share that information as she stood there awkwardly. After a while the duo started walking through this forest.

Scar would lead the way to scout out any poison, Brigita would then avoid everything. The entire challenge of this zone was nigated by his title.

Charlotte decided that her next web would be in this location since she also gained the effects of Scar’s title.

Charlotte begged Scar to stop for just a day or 2 but Scar had to say no. He was forced to promise her to return at a later date.

The duo traveled around to map the entire area, they spent the next 3 days fully mapping the poisonous forest.

They planned to do this for every zone they passed but unfortunately the spider den was simply far too dangerous, the only reason they made it through was because Brigita had the ideal conditions.

She managed to ramp up her skill to the point where she could one shot the normal mobs in the area.

While exploring they did find several interesting scenes, first was a massive flower that must have been twice as large as Fortress.

They also found an extremely strange creature, it was a dog with flowers growing all over its body. When they met the dog greeted Avalon super seriously which surprised the group.

It seems like all canine creatures had an instinctive respect for Celtic Spotted Hounds. After greeting the group the dog walked off into the distance.

When they were traveling to the east they encountered a massive stone wall that spread from the north to the south.

They couldn’t see its end or top from their current location, Brigita proposed they climbed up the wall but Scar thoroughly refused.

After these several days of exploring they finally entered the next zone which they had seen from a distance.

This area was another forest overrun by the plants in the area. Instead of poisonous plants this time it was spiky vines growing up to one’s waist.

The duo were reluctant to travel through this area which was why they delayed it so much. After a while they finally started traveling with each of the taking turns.

Elvinia would use her telepathy to move the vines until she ran out of mana, then Fortress would use his magic to do the same.

After the two were exhausted Brigita would start using her axes to clear a path, what truly made this trip awful was something completely different.

They would be slowly moving then all of a sudden a massive tooth maw would appear from the side. These attacks would always be sudden and completely unexpected.

The first time it happened Avalon was swallowed whole, she let out the strangest noise he had ever heard from her.

It was a mix of shock and anger which was strange coming from a dog. When the group noticed this they had to go into the battle immediately.

The fight was tricky because they had to avoid the area where Avalon was, the fight was also on a timer since Avalon was quickly losing health.

Luckily Brigta langed a solid strike on the stem of the massive plant monster. This strike dealt massive damage to the creature but shockingly didn’t kill it out right.

The mouth started flailing around trying to bite anything that got near it. They managed to kill it when Charlotte made a web trapping the mouth closed.

Avalon was heavily damaged after this fight as well as being thoroughly humiliated. She was the one keeping an eye on their surroundings yet she was sneak attacked.

She therefore tried her best to locate these plant monsters before getting sneak attacked. Despite her best efforts she was actually swallowed again when 2 appeared at once.

She spotted one but while she was acting haughty another appeared from behind her swallowing her again.

Avalon let out a howl so full of frustration that Scar had to laugh despite the predicament. Luckily they were able to fight the plant monsters one at a time since they couldn’t move.

When they rescued Avalon this time she was utterly depressed and remained that way for the rest of the day.

Avalon only recovered when Scar made her an extra large piece of steak and even included a bone for her to chew on.

The next day when they were exploring Avalon doubled her effort to locate any stealth enemies. She managed to do that for the most part, locating most enemies beforehand.

While traveling they saw a patch of red in the distance, the duo stopped to discuss.

“Scar, can we go over there? It is out of the way but it is very clearly something special.”

Scar didn’t fight it at all.

“You don’t even need to ask, let’s start moving.”

Since they were traveling to something so strange Brigita took the lead allowing Elvinia and Fortress to fully recover their mana.

As they traveled they didn’t encounter another plant monster. It didn’t take long for them to recognize what the red was.

On the vein in front of them was a bright red rose. The duo was extremely careful as they plucked the rose before moving any further.

The moment they plucked the rose they saw all the vines in the area started to move like a creature waking up.

From the middle of the field of roses he heard a yawn which surprised him greatly. Suddenly a figure was carried up on a rose.

It was an extremely tiny humanoid figure that was laying down. It rubbed its eyes before looking over in their direction.

“Humans, why have you woken me up? Wait, I feel like a sibling is here.”

With this the fairy used her magic to send her rose over in their direction. As she got closer Elvinia got up from Scar’s shoulder and flew up to meet her.

“Elder sister, sorry to have woken you up.”

The female fairy when she saw Elvinia let out a bell like laughter.

“Little sister, there is no need to be worried, who are your friends?”

Scar stopped Brigita from speaking, it was best for Elvinia to do the talking.

“This elf here is my partner, the creatures are his pets. The human is currently exploring alongside our group.”

The female fairy approached Scar and started looking him up and down. Scar also looked the fairy over.

She was a little red head who was wearing a dress that appeared to be made out of rose petals. Her wings were the same green color of the vines all around. As she got closer to Scar’s face he was washed in the scent of roses.

“This is a very nice elf, he is still a little weak. If not I would be tempted to contest with you little sister.”

After saying this the fairy started to laugh again as she gave Scar’s cheek a quick kiss. Elvinia started to get flustered as she teleported the fairy away.

“Hehehe little sister is very attached. Little elf, treat my sister well, I am going back to sleep. Stop by my home village later, I’ll come back with all the oldies to greet you.”

After saying this the little fairy went back to the middle of the rose field before sinking back into the vines.

This was a strange meeting to say the least. This was the first time Scar encountered a fairy out in the wild.

He saw fairies messing with adventurers outside their village but this wasn’t the same. After a discussion they decided to go to this fairy village before exploring the south.

They came to this decision after serious debate, Brigita eventually gave in when Scar mentioned that they would only stop by.

After this they started traveling again to explore the rest of the zone. Avalon seemed to be getting used to spotting the enemies making exploring relatively easy.

This alongside the fact that Elvinia and Fortress were getting better at clearing the path meant they were traveling faster and faster.

The next special thing the group encountered was when they were at the south of the zone. They reached the edge of the zone, on every side were mountains.

Scar took out and updated his map with his findings.

After looking at the map they could estimate which way to go, to the south was a winding mountain trail.

This mountain trail looked like it would be extremely challenging and they could see massive birds even from their current location.

On the other hand they could travel east and go up to the massive cliff that overlooked each of the zones they traveled past.

Since they wanted to travel to the fairy village that was supposedly in this area they decided to try looking on the cliff.

The path they had to take climbed higher and higher as they traveled along it. Before long they got an overhead view of the zones they passed through.

Scar took this opportunity to update his map since it really gave a different perspective. In specific he got to add significantly more details on the spider den.

They hadn’t been able to explore the area at all so this gave him an opportunity to map it out.

This also gave him the opportunity to rest, this hike was incredibly challenging, it wasn’t like a man made hiking trail.

He had to constantly watch his step while climbing an incredibly steep path. Even with his incredibly high strength and endurance he was still exhausted.

After this the group resumed travel. The duo had to set camp halfway up the climb since the sun was setting.

The campsite was in a beautiful location allowing them to get a complete view of the sun setting. Scar took out a bottle of alcohol before pouring a glass for each of them.

The 2 spent the next several hours watching the sunset and chatting happily while sitting next to each other. The next day however they were forced to continue their climb to what was probably the fairy village.
