"It is a new world on planet Earth. All of the old hatreds have resulted in nuclear war, and now the remains of humanity has returned to medieval times and magic. In one of the four kingdoms exists a creature called the Grim. The Grim is capable of extreme destruction to anyone who lies in its path. Venya is a Grim, though she doesn’t want to be. Haunted by nightmares of the time she mercilessly slaughtered her own parents, Venya now keeps her monster self under control with the help of Hellion who uses magic to conceal the beast within her. Even so, this does not prevent Venya from being kidnapped from her tree home and presented in front of the merciless Queen Kaliyani. Venya must think fast on her feet, or the beast that she truly is maybe discovered and will again cause death and destruction to all who surround her. My apologies to author Riabug222 for any of the details I might have gotten wrong. This story is quite intense with its complex world of different cultures, creatures and experiences. I was quite in awe with how she juggles the events of her brave new world so deftly. And the creatures! My absolute favorite was this raven haired dark angel whose torso ends in a tangle of bloody intestines. What a creative imagination. if you’re looking for more than mere romance in your fantasy novel, this is the perfect choice for you here. "
Great story so far
"I love the post apocalyptic world and I'm wondering how she will get out of slavery and if she will ever see her brother and his friend again. The songs are pretty good too. 10/10 so far. "

"Great plot. Great characters. Some areas could use more back story or buildup. Some grammatical errors. A few places wrong names of characters used (Greta sewed Naytes head back on for funeral?) Some revisions needed but otherwise a great read."

"Let me first say that I am very impressed with this writers style and skill. I read the entire book. The author very easily can create places, creatures, and people in your mind. I absolutely loved the dark fantasy romance, something I was craving after ACOTAR and TOG. I loved the world and characters the author created. I gave this story only 3 stars because the ending was horrible for me. I honestly wish I could give it more stars because I could NOT put it down. But, it’s almost as if the author did not want to continue writing the story anymore after chapter 105. It’s a gruesome ending with a plot that never finished. Personally I prefer a happy or at-least an unambiguous ending. So if you are like me stop do yourself a favor and stop reading at chapter 110. If the author wanted a sad ending the let Vanya die using her Kreal abilities at the end. "
