Chapter 1 The things even Gods desire
“Where am I?”
Jack struggled to open his eyes and looked around.
He found himself lying on the ground in a dark alley.
His thoughts paused for a moment.
“Sigh, I’m still in this crappy world!”
Jack was not a native of this world.
Seventeen years ago, he transmigrated into the body of a newborn orphan.
He was adopted by a family in the Queens area of New York.
Because the family’s economic conditions were decent, life wasn’t too difficult.
Except for the occasional robbery with a gun pointed at his back, everything else was pretty good...
“Damn, I’ve been robbed again.”
Jack dusted himself off, rubbed the back of his head which was aching slightly, and stood up.
Today, on his way home from school, he was robbed again.
Getting his money stolen was bad enough, but he also got beaten up.
This is just intolerable.
But Jack could only endure.
The robbers were numerous and armed.
Although he exercised regularly and was physically fit, he was powerless against firearms.
Reporting it to the police was useless.
In New York, such incidents happened so frequently that the police couldn’t keep up.
“Forget it, just go home. Aunt May must be worried.”
Jack limped out of the alley.
To avoid worrying his family, he acted as if nothing had happened when he got home.
“Brother, why did you take so long? I can’t get past this level, help me!”
As soon as he walked in, his little nephew playing Nintendo in front of the TV waved excitedly, calling out to him.
“Watch me.” Jack smiled and took the controller, joining the game.
His nephew’s name was Peter Parker.
He was Aunt May’s nephew, also adopted by her, and was only nine years old.
Jack had only recently transmigrated here.
He soon began to suspect that this might be the Marvel universe.
Aunt May, Queens, New York, and Peter Parker—it all added up.
Jack also realized that Aunt May eventually died in front of the Green Goblin and Silver Surfer.
Being the family of a superhero is even more dangerous than being an ordinary person!
Thankfully, it’s only 2009 now.
Tony Stark hasn’t become Iron Man yet.
There are still two years before the alien invasion.
Otherwise, Jack would be packing his bags and looking for a place to hide right now.
After all, when superheroes get into trouble, they can handle it, but as an outsider, Jack might
not be so lucky.
“You two, stop playing and come eat!”
Aunt May had already set the table and hadn’t noticed Jack’s strange behavior.
“Wow, it smells great! We’re coming!” Peter reluctantly put down the controller and turned his
head, whispering, “Jack, did you just say Aunt May doesn’t like beef?”
Jack didn’t even have time to respond.
With her sharp hearing, Aunt May was already annoyed and asked angrily, “You two, why are you thinking about bad things before you even start eating?”
“No, no! Aunt May, your cooking is the best in the world!”
Peter tried to please her, even giving a charming smile.
Aunt May rolled her eyes at him with a smile.
“If you keep this up, I won’t cook for you anymore. Let’s see what you’ll do then.”
Jack couldn’t help but laugh.
Peter used to only like fast food, but after a few months, he started loving Jack’s cooking.
“Alright, alright, hurry up and eat before the food gets cold.”
Peter cheered and clapped his hands.
Jack couldn’t help but smile.
Jack had a heatstroke again...
But he didn’t mind at all.
After all, in this world, he only had these two family members.
After finishing dinner and cleaning up the table, the three of them sat on the couch to watch TV.
Jack suddenly noticed a news flash on the TV.
“Stark Industries CEO Tony Stark has been kidnapped by a terrorist group in the Middle East!”
Jack’s lips twitched slightly as he held his cold drink, a chill spreading through his body.
The future Iron Man was kidnapped while still dealing arms on the border of the desert.
Only by activating his cheat could he ensure that this world wouldn’t lose its superheroes.
He had yet to activate his cheat.
Jack was in his final year of high school and would be starting college this year.
His plan was to get into a small, remote college, far from the melting pot of New York!
Otherwise, without his cheat, what could he do?

A sudden thunderous voice echoed in his mind!
Sweating profusely, Jack jumped up in surprise!

“What’s wrong?” Aunt May asked, seeing Jack suddenly stand up.
“Nothing, I just remembered I have some homework to finish. I’ll go to my room first.”
Feeling a mix of relief and determination, Jack returned to his room, ready to embrace his new destiny.
Jack closed the door behind him.
Sitting at his desk, he began to examine the system that had just appeared.
The functions were simple, and he quickly understood them.
This system had only one feature.
