Story Notes

I originally started writing this book for Camp NaNoWriMo in July 2023.

Cowboy romance is one of my favorite genres to read. I used to write many stories with the theme. One of my favorite book series, the one that really planted my enjoyment for reading, was Terri Farley’s The Phantom Stallion series and some of the books in her Island Stallion series. (And I cannot forget Walter Farley's Black Stallion series, though that is not the tone.)

This book is more mature in the sense the main characters are fresh outta high school and moving into adulthood. But the love-interest is a few years older. However, I stand by my pact to write clean stories for readers of all ages starting 13+ years.

Summary

BOOTS AND BELLES is a stand-alone romantic comedy set in the Hearts of Gold universe. There is no cheating, no cliffhanger, and HEA is guaranteed. If you've enjoyed The Phantom Stallion series by Terri Farley, it's possible you will like this book.
