Chapter 1: Unwelcome Intruder.
Under the blanket of a clear, starry night in the charming town of Grantsville, Utah, there sat a house perched atop a hill, overlooking a dense wooded area. Inside, Carole Powell found herself nestled in the living room, engrossed in a spine-chilling movie playing on the television screen. Unaware of the approaching figure outside, little did she know that suspense was not confined to the fictional realm of the movie. Engrossed in the scary movie, Carole was suddenly jolted by a mysterious clattering sound. Intrigued, she rose from the couch, her heart pounding with a mix of fear and excitement. With cautious steps, she made her way towards the kitchen, her eyes scanning the shadows for any sign of movement.
Unaware of the impending danger, Carole found herself seized from behind as a mysterious figure placed a chloroform-soaked cloth over her nose and mouth. Shocked and disoriented, Carole fought back with frantic screams and desperate struggles. But gradually, the potent fumes took hold, causing her body to weaken and her eyes to slowly drift shut. In a state of unconsciousness, Carole was effortlessly carried away by the sinister stranger.
