"I am your mother, and a mother knows her child the best.Mrs. Asma said."

"Now give me food i am going to change my clothes." She hugged her and said then she went to her room.

Authors Pov.

After enjoying her meal and telling her mother the story of the whole day, she went to her room to sleep.

After getting up in the evening, she finished her work and then made a cup of tea before going out to the terrace and she called her best friend Rushna, and after two rings, she answered the call.

"Asslam o Alaikum Rushna how are you?"

"Walaikum Aslam Mirha i am fine. Why did you call? Is everything alright?"

Rushna said.

"Yes yes Alhamdulilah,i just wanted to tell you that i have complete your assignment."

"Ohhhh thank you sooo much mirha you are the best, you are my best friend, and you always help me."

"Okay, enough with the buttering up for today." Mirha smiled and then again she said

"I am sending you your assignment take a look at it"

"Okay byeeee." Rushna said.

"Byeeeeee."

Mirha ended the call.

*********

"Were you talking to her again?" Rushna's mother, Ujala, said as she entered the room with a glass of milk.

"Oh come on mom,she is my friend,Rushna said."

"I know but you know i dont like her,try to stay as far away from her as possible."

"Okay i will. Rushna said to end this topic."

********

"Who was on the call?" Mrs.Asma asked.

"It was Rushna Mama."

"I'm telling you, dear, to stay a bit away from her," Asma said, explaining to her.

"But why mama, you know she is my best friend. Mirha said.

"I know my child but try to understand,i am your mother and i know she is using you for her benefit."

"Mama, please, we've discussed this before, and I'm telling you that she's a very good friend.Mirha replied."

"Alright, forget it. Your father is calling you downstairs. Come on, lets go"

She said and they both went dowm stairs.

************ Author's Pov.

The next morning, she got ready for college. She put on a white uniform, braided her long golden hair, wore her glasses, put on her shoes, and left for college.

Mirha's Pov.

Mirha and Rushana were sitting in the college grounds when Rushana asked Mirha,

"What is your ideal person like?"

"My ideal person?" Mirha asked, surprised.

"Yes, yes, yours. Have you ever thought about what the person you marry should be like?"Rushna said

"No, I’ve never thought about it, but tell me, what have you thought about it?"Mirha replied "What kind of girl are you? So, you’ve never thought about this?I like bad boys. Just imagine how cute it would look with a tall guy, messy hair, sleeveless shirt, ripped jeans, chain around his neck, and boots, standing next to his stylish bike. Ah!.Said Rushna."

"It’s not that I’ve never thought about it; I just want someone who is loving, caring, considerate of everyone, and who respects me and my parents." Mirha said while thinking.

"That’s all?"Rushna said with a surprised look on her face.

"Yes,thats all." Mirha replied with a smile. "What are you, Mirha?"Rushna scoffed. "Let's go, it's class time and we're running late," said Mirha as she stood up upon hearing the bell.

"Yes, yes, let's go," Rushna also stood up, and both of them went to their class. *******

"Where did it go?" Hooriya asked, searching for a book on the shelf.

"Hooriya, what are you doing? I've been calling you for a while. The food is ready, come eat," Mrs. Zeenat said as she walked in.

"I'm coming, Mom. I can't find one of my books. Did you see it?" Hooriya asked.

"Which book?" Mrs. Zeenat asked, moving closer to the shelf.

"The one I bought yesterday," Hooriya replied.

"Oh, you left it on the table outside. I put it in your drawer. You never keep track of your things," Mrs. Zeenat said.

"Thanks, Mom. I've been looking for it everywhere," Hooriya said, relieved.

"Okay, come eat now. The food is getting cold. And you know your dad doesn't like it when we eat late," Mrs. Zeenat said.

"Mom, he doesn't like anything," Hooriya said, annoyed.

"That’s not nice. He’s your father. Don’t talk like that," Mrs. Zeenat said firmly.

"Yes, Mom, I know. You go ahead, I’ll be there soon," Hooriya said. *********

"Asslam o Alaikum," Mirha said as she entered.

"Walaikum Aslam," Mrs. Asma replied with a smile.

"I'm so hungry, Mama," Mirha said, placing a hand on her stomach with a look of distress.

"Go wash your hands and face, change your clothes, and pray. I'll set the table in the meantime," Mrs. Asma said.

Mirha nodded and went to her room.

After freshening up, she came out of the washroom and wore her hijab. "I’m so tired, but I have to pray all my prayers just because of Mama's strictness," Mirha said with a sigh.

She then started her prayers.

After quickly finishing her prayers, she left the room.

"Did you finish your prayers that quickly?" Mrs. Asma asked suspiciously.

"Yes, Mama, I really just finished them," Mirha said with innocent sincerity.

"Alright, but remember, we need to go to the wedding this evening," Mrs. Asma reminded her.

"Yes, yes, Mama, I remember. It's the wedding of Baba's close friend's son, and it's very important to go," Mirha said innocently.

"Well, make sure you're ready on time," Mrs. Asma said.

"Yes, I'll be ready," Mirha replied. *********

Author's Pov.

In the evening, Mirha got ready for the wedding in her room. She wore a beautiful dark green, floor-length dress adorned with pearls. She did light makeup and straightened her long, brown, golden hair. Wearing a duppata around her neck and putting on high-heeled shoes, she looked incredibly stunning.

As soon as she stepped out of her room, Mrs. Asma looked at her and said, "Mashallah."

"Wow, Mirha, you look so beautiful!" Mirha's older sister, Shanzay, said as she came out of another room.

Mirha looked Shanzay from head to toe, noting that she was wearing a pink floor-length dress, light makeup, and a golden hijab.

Mirha and Shanzay were five years apart. Although they were sisters, they had completely different personalities. Shanzay was mature and reserved, while Mirha was innocent and mischievous. However, both were exceptionally intelligent.

"You look very beautiful, Aapi. but don’t tell me you're going to the wedding wearing that hijab,"Mirha aksed with a surprised face.

"Yes, I will definitely wear it, and in fact, I would suggest that you should wear a hijab too," Shanzay said.

"Yes, Mirha, your sister is absolutely right. It's someone else's wedding, and you should wear hijab," Mrs. Asma said.

"Oh, Mama, I have no interest in that. I’m fine as I am, and besides, wearing a hijab makes me feel suffocated. And anyway, who wears a scarf to a wedding?"Mirha replied irritably.

"Alright, you don't have to wear it to the wedding, but atleast wear it when you go to college," Mrs. Asma said.

"No, Mama, let’s just forget about it," Mirha said, with a frustrated look on her face.

"Mama, leave it, it’s very hard to convince her," Shanzay said.

"Is everyone ready?" Mr. Nauman (Mirha's father) asked as he came in.

"Yes, yes, let’s go," Mrs. Asma replied.

************ As soon as they arrive at the venue, they head straight to the hall. The hall was very grand, adorned with flowers and lights. In the center is the stage, and a carpet is laid out for the bride and groom to walk on. On both sides of the carpet are rows of round tables for the guests to sit at.

Mr. Nauman's family sat at a table on the right side. Mirha's Pov

"Where are your glasses, Mirha?" Shanzay asked.

"I’m wearing lenses today," Mirha replied with a hint of pride.

"And when did you order these?" Shanzay asked again.

"Mama and Baba have been saying for the past two weeks that we’re going to a wedding, so I thought if I wore my big glasses, I’d look bad. Glasses don’t really suit me, and if I don’t wear them, I won’t be able to see anything. So, I persuaded Mama to let me get these lenses," Mirha explained happily, flaunting her lenses.

Shanzay just stared at her.

"Why are you looking at me like that?" Mirha said, noticing Shanzay's gaze. "Yes, Mirha, you’re absolutely right," Shanzay said. "Asslam o Alaikum," Mrs. Amna (the groom's mother) greeted Mrs. Asma.

"Wa Alaikum Assalam," Mrs. Asma replied with a smile.

"How are you?" Mrs. Amna asked.

"Alhamdulillah, I’m fine. How are you?" Mrs. Asma asked

"I’m fine too, Alhamdulillah," Mrs. Amna responded.

"Oh, Mirha and shanzay dear, go and meet the bride and groom, and get some pictures with them".Mrs. Amna said warmly.

Mirha got up happily, just then Shanzay's phone rang.

"Hey, Aapi, come with me," Mirha said innocently.

"Mirha, you go ahead. I’ll just finish this call and join you," Shanzay said.

"Okay," Mirha replied, heading towards the stage.

After meeting the bride and groom and taking some pictures, Mirha noticed Shanzay was still on the phone.

"These friends of my Aapi really do take such long calls," Mirha muttered to herself as she quickly came down from the stage from the stage and was heading back to her table when she suddenly bumped into someone.

Before she could fall, the person grabbed her wrist to stop her from falling.

"Ouch, who’s this blind person bumping into me?" Mirha said, steadying herself.

When she looked up, she saw a tall, handsome man standing before her.

The man, upon seeing her, couldn’t look away.

"Oh, hello, Mr. Who are you, and why were you wandering around blindfolded?" Mirha asked, but the man remained staring at her.

"Hey, Mr., where are you lost? I’m talking to you," Mirha said, waving her hand in front of his face. The person standing in front suddenly came to his senses.

Adeel Ahmed he forwarded his hand to shake hands.

"Blind Ahmed."

Mirha, said while rolling her eyes and folding her hands in front of her upper body

"Yes?"

Adeel said with a questioning look,

"Yes, if you don’t watch where you’re going, everyone will say the same thing." Mirha said.

"Sorry," Adeel said, slightly bowing his head.

"Its okay," Mirha responded.

"Oh Adeel, what are you doing here?"

Mrs. Noreen asked as she approached them. "And who is this?" Mrs. Noreen asked.

"I don’t know, Mom. We just bumped into eachother" Adeel replied.

From a distance, Shanzay, who was talking on the phone, noticed Mirha standing with unfamiliar people.

"Oh no! It looks like Mirha has caused some trouble again," Shanazay thought, while hitting her forehead. She quickly ended her call and went over to them.

"Asslam o Alaikum Auntie," Mirha greeted Mrs. Noreen.

"Walaikum Aslam, dear," Mrs. Noreen responded with a smile. Mirha, what are you doing here?" Shanzay asked as she approached Mirha.

Before Mirha could respond, Mr. Ahmad arrived.

"Un.. Uncle Ahmad?" Shanzay asked in surprise.

"Yes, dear. But who are you?" Mr. Ahmad asked in confusion.

"I'm Shanzay, the daughter of Nauman Ali," Shanzay replied with a big smile.

"Nauman Ali?" Mr. Ahmad asked with pleasant surprise.

"Yes, absolutely," Shanzay answered with a big smile.

"Ahmad, is that you here?" Nauman Ali said from behind, equally pleasantly surprised.

"A beautiful coincidence."
