What is your opinion?

barbed wire butterfly

"I luckily found this book a couple of days ago when I was searching high and low for something to read. This is becoming more and more of a challenge, but when a little gem like this book is found, it makes it all worth it in the end. Once I started reading Ryker & Ordelia’s story I could not put it down. The author did a great job with these two characters. The way they were introduced to the reader felt genuine and authentic. Although the exact time period is never disclosed I like to think it is set sometime in the future after the fall of society as we know it, today. Of course, I could be way off base since the descriptions of their clothing and lack of technology could possibly be hinting at the past. But who knows…The author had a ton of supporting characters; Ordelias large-ish family that consisted of her older brother, sister in law, and two boys she considered her brothers. Ryker had his utterly horrifying father and the squad of soldiers and there were many other friends and acquaintances (side characters) introduced throughout. The author managed the integration of these characters into the story very well and they did not get glossed over or forgotten about, or they didn’t take over they story.. They did what they were there for; to support Ordelia’s and sometimes Rykers character. I really enjoyed the book, can’t wait for the second one! Great job"

"When I first started I immediately loved your descriptions. So raw and real and truly beautiful. It is a very suspenseful read with drama and moments of romance. It was so good I needed to know what happened in the next chapter!! I can not wait to keep reading and see how the story plays out. Amazingly Written! I am loving every second of this book, I am going to continue reading this to see it through to the end."

Twists and Turns!

"I truly enjoyed this story. The plot and details are well done. The ups and downs the main characters go through is devastating at the lows and joyous at the highs. I am going to be so incredibly sad if Book 2 doesn’t show up very soon! I need to know the rest of the story! However, I do feel that splitting it into two was a reasonable choice. "

A must-read for dark romance lovers

"Odelia is an Coralucian girl living in a world where women are seen as objects set to decorate the homes of ruthless Antrian guards hellbent and addicted to chaos and destruction. When Odelia is arranged to marry the most sinister of them all, Ryker Volkov, will she come away unscathed or will she indulge in the barbed wire he has twisted around her heart? Needless to say, I really enjoyed the start of this story. The author easily captures you with her incredibly creative and poetic analogies that draw you well into the Odelia's emotive thoughts. This story is a must-read for those who like twisted romance and dark, steamy male protagonists. My only complaint is the grammar, but the author has said in the comments that she is going to be editing the chapters, and they do not disrupt the story for me. 5/5!"

Barbed Wire Butterfly

"This kept me engaged, and I'll definitely keep reading. There are echos of other works, but the main characters are well drawn and original. This combination of the familiar and new is potent. It needs a really good edit for spelling and odd missing words, but that's all easily fixed. Congratulations!"

Interesting

"I loved the plot of the story. The writing falls flat though. In 1-2 chapters, the writing caught me off guard. It was like sentences mixing into other sentences. When it comes to characters, what I suppose is the male lead doesn't make me feel anything. Not scared, angry, horny, or even happy, he's just there. Hopefully, in the coming chapters, I will feel some type of emotion towards him. The same goes for the female lead. Wish You Luck!"

Excellent Beginning (3 chapters read)

"The beginning is poetic and drew me in with the evocative analogies and well crafted descriptions. The summary presents at a solid plot and intriguing setting. Really enjoyed reading it so far. By chapter three the conflict is presented. There are some formatting and punctuation issues, nothing a quick edit can't fix. The cover and title are amazing too. Maybe the title can be bigger. I hope the author continues to post new chapters as I really want to see where it goes and am looking forward to the updates."

A great start

"The start is interesting, and you get curious of what there is to come after the first chapter. You start putting questions in our head wich us a great thing. You are hinting at some things which is great as well. There are a few things that irritate me on is the way some paragraphs are formatted. It makes it hard to read because suddenly the sentences are snake like. If it was intentional then ignore that point. I see much potential in this story, and you rose my curiosity for the future. "
