Meet Menchie
Throughout my youth, I have been living conservatively. Having a military dad and a “Sagrado Catolico” mother, my days consisted of attending mass, praying the rosary and studying our lessons at school.
Pero, when I started college, madami ang nagbago. Namulat ako sa kung ano talaga ang meron sa ating mundo. Natuto uminom at mag disco. But I never let my studies suffer. In fact, I finished Cum Laude in both my under graduate and graduate degrees.
After college, I worked as an assistant writer for a local publication. That is where I spent all my professional years getting one promotion to another. Now that I am 70, I am still affiliated with the publication, but now, as a special section editor. The good thing about being a special section editor is that hindi ko kailangan pumasok everyday. Madalas I receive my work through email. Oo naman, updated naman ako in terms of technology!
At my age, you may think I have everything. Pero in reality may mga kulang pa din naman. I have been single since I caught my husband and his mistress 30 years ago. My kids all have their own families and are all based in different corners of the world.
And so, malungkot ako. I am alone and lonely in a house big enough to fit 3 families. Ako lang and my maids, who have been in my family since I got married. In fact, they have been pushing me to date again for the longest time.
One morning, I woke up feeling energised and, for lack of better words, horny. It’s as if I am in my 30s again. I brushed it off and went downstairs for breakfast and then to an editorial meeting at the office.
At the elevator, kausap ko ang isa sa mga writers when it opened on the second floor. A young man stood before the elevator and asked, “Going up po?” I was startled. I felt something in me that is quite familiar and yet it isn’t. The editor I was with said yes and the young man boarded the elevator.
At the meeting, I was surprised that the young man was there too. We were introduced to each other and I found out that Julius, his name, is heading the newest department for the publication’s online version. I was surprised by how smart he was and hot. He is wearing a fitted white shirt, fitted jeans and sneakers. His white shirt curves nicely with his muscles.
Our editor-in-chief told me that Julius would work closely with me to produce an online version of our section.
After my meeting, I heard Julius call me. “Ms. Menchie, ok lang po ba if we could meet separately so that I can discuss with you my team’s plan for your section?” His voice is very nice. Binatang binata! Of course, I said yes and told him to meet me at a coffee shop where I usually write.
His proposal is good! I am very impressed! Towards the end of our meeting, I received a message from my apo and told me that I needed to buy this new pair of rubber shoes. Obviously, hindi ko alam ang bagay na ito and so I asked Julius. He said he has a friend who works for the said shoe brand and that he can get me a pair for my grandson by Saturday and that I can pay him upon delivery of the shoes. So, we exchanged numbers and my home address.
At home, I have been thinking about how my day went and my thoughts keep returning to Julius. His strong chest, the nipples na bumabakat sa shirt niya, and his legs are as muscular as his upper body. Shet! I’m lusting over someone waaay younger than me!
I called Julie, my friend, and told her everything. Even my thoughts seem quite dirty! Julie said it was normal since it’s been a while since I was last intimate with anyone. Maybe it’s really about time I start flirting around again. But with a way younger guy? Sssshhh! Siguro if it’s a secret it’s ok hahaha.
