Chapter 1
As the night falls, I ponder. The darkness that surrounds me, calming, and silence. A stark contrast from the swirling storm inside. The desire to scream at the top of my lungs lingers always. The need to seek closure there, but fear and time deter me from seeking such. In the night my tears fall, the darkness has always been my solace, the arms of cold welcoming to a home I feel true in. I could point fingers at who landed me in such a place. That would be counterintuitive; as much as it pains me to be in this place, I wish not to lose it. My writings gain a new form, a broader vocabulary, and in-depth storytelling. No one can hurt me, and I seek no one’s approval. The darkness is my horror as well as my sanctuary, coexisting within the same body. because I know how to feed both without being overwhelmed.
