The Inexplicable Journey of a Boy and a Tent

gentle winds shatter the everlasting sigh of the grey blue horizon. it is light out. finally. as the sun rises, you set to work. grey blue to orange and pink, to an almost turquoise color, then finally the sky turns blue. you stand back to admire your work. crude? yes. but effective? also yes. you let out a triumphant sigh. it was great. it was small, but perfect. it was a tent. not just Any tent, but a camoflauged tent. one that didnt just have the camo print you’d find at stores where people say its camoflauge but it really isnt. but, real camoflauge. leaves, mud, sticks, moss. flowers. nature. it definitely wasn’t your best work, but- for now- that’s alright.

CHAPTER ONE: THE REASONING OF A TENT

in the wilderness, you need cover. that is why, on September First, 2001, you created the tent. at that point in time, you had been in the wilderness for only about a week, so you still had a sense of what day it was. this would soon dwindle then Plunk! your sense of time would be gone. you waited for that day to come, as that would be when your body finally accepted that you were in the wild. no calendars to mark your days on anymore.

the tent is important, because otherwise you’d be left to the will of Mother Nature. and we can’t let you do that.
