I screamed as the cold metal hand wrapped around my ankle, the claws digging into my flesh and piercing the bone. I could taste blood and the salt of my tears. I gripped onto the edge of the gaping hole so tightly that my fingertips began to bleed, and I hissed in pain. I tried to kick the robot with my other leg, landing blow after blow...but nothing worked. Slowly, I could feel the robot slipping, my flesh ripping apart as it did. I screamed again, out of the pain. I could feel the tears rushing more, my vision blurring. I kicked at the robot once more, its claw sliding further down, snapping my ankle. I screamed as loudly as I could, the pain unbearable. "Get off!" I gave a hard kick and my skin sliced open to the bone as the robot fell.

I grasped onto the edge of the gaping hole, trying to pull myself up and out. Through the watery haze on my eyes I could see someone coming towards me. Their hand reached out and pulled me up, I was safe. The moment I tried to stand, everything went black.

"The robots have taken over, we need to get out of town."

"Nathan?! Nathan where are you-!"

"RUN LIZA!"
