“Good evening everyone thanks for coming today and celebrating my 55 birthday I’m delighted”.

I want to announce that, as you guys know, my elder son Victor is married and has his own company. He didn’t choose mine, so some people get worried about who will handle my business after I retire.

Yes, you guys heard right. Today, I’m announcing my retirement. I’m leaving my CEO position and going on a long vacation, but you don’t have to worry about my business. My second Son, Ryan Barrett, will handle my company, and he will take my position.

“So what’s your plan after retirement Mr. George Barrett one reporter asks him?”

It was shocking for me when Dad announced my name next CEO of his company I was not ready for this I needed to talk to him.

" I said stop Ryan don’t create any scene here lots of people are watching us”.

I know that I promised my dad after completing my study I would join his company but it’s too sudden and I don’t know if I handled it as well as Dad did.

“Hey, you both stop it, can you guys not fight here let’s cut the cake everyone waiting”, Mom comes to save me but I know it’s hard to please my dad.

“yeah, that’s what I’m saying tell your son to stop it”.

“Mom I don’t want to join dad company I know I promised him that I join his company but not now, I need time I want to know myself”.

“My child, I know I will talk to your dad, but you know that your brother he already started his own company and cut ties with us, your dad didn’t say anything you are his only hope and he thought today is the best day to announce his retirement because he believes in you, but if you are not ready it’s ok I will talk to dad you know me and your dad always wants that’re you guys always be happy, whatever you like you can do it, we never stop it and we both always support you”, my mom always support us after dad and my brother fight and he leaves our house and gets settled against my dad will they only pretend in front of the camera they look like they have a great bonding but that’s not true when they are alone they never talk not even see each other, only because of mom he comes home to have dinner, I try many time to resolve there issues and they both leave their ego and start talking but I fail every time.

“I know Mom you and Dad love us, I just get afraid when he suddenly announces his retirement and says that I join his company I just need time to think and settle something, but I’m not against dad decision”.

“Ok now stop getting worried we talked to your dad after the party ok let’s celebrate his birthday and smile”.

“ok Mom, thank you”

After the party everyone left, today the media got very big news that was going to be exclusive tomorrow morning.

When everyone leaves Dad tells me to come to his library I know what he wants to talk but after talking to Mom I know I’m confident.

“So tell me what you want to say”

“Dad I’m not ready to start working in your company I didn’t know anything and I need some time to think, and before announcing your retirement you have to tell me so I get prepared myself”.

“What do you want to say that you don’t want to handle our business your brother already refused me and now you are also refusing me that you can’t work in your father’s company”.

“No Dad I’m not saying this I’m just saying I’m not prepared, but it’s not that I refusing your wish”.

“So what do you want Ryan I already announced that you are going to be the next CEO and I can’t go back to my word” The biggest problem of the Barrett family is when we promise or commit something we can’t go against our word.

“Dad I know and I’m not saying that you change your statement but the thing that shocks me is your retirement you know that I don’t know how to handle company and you are going on vacation I need your help I want your guidance I’m afraid that I will ruin everything” the biggest fear of my life what if I ruin his company because dad and my brother are good with there work but I’m not that confident what if one accident changes everything.

Ohm my son looks here, “I and your mom believe you that you can do it we have faith in you and I will always be with you I will guide you whenever you need my help I always help you so there is no need to be afraid just believe in yourself” dad tell he believe me that’s what I want to hear I think.

“Yeah my little brother and I are here also I know I didn’t accept dad’s position at first because I wanted to do different things but you always dream of working in dad’s company and want to become like dad I always help you so there is no need to get tensed”, my brother said and stand near me and put her hand in my shoulder and encourage me.

My dad and Victor are not in a good son-and-father relationship but both of them a successful businessmen and they hold power in the corporate world they both love me and the family they always stand together but they can’t solve their issues let go there egos, I don’t know when my family going to be together like we are who going to make them together, if that day dad didn’t force Victor or that accident never occurred everything is fine.

“Mom do you know Ryan is hiding something, did he tell you anything” Victor teased me he knew everything about my life even the girl I dated, I never hid it.

“Victor shut up it’s not the correct time”.

“What he is hiding?” Dad asks in a serious tone.

“Nothing Dad, I didn’t hide anything from you, Victor only teasing me, and Mom looks at Victor making fun of me”.

“Victor why are you teasing my poor child, don’t listen to him tell me what you are hiding”.

“Mom, you also do not believe me, I didn’t hide anything”.

“Baby you know I’m your mom I only have to look at your face and I can tell what you’re thinking or when you are lying to me, so tell me who is the girl”.

“Mom, I can’t hide anything, you guys know me better than me what I’m thinking or what I want to say”.

“It’s not like that Victor, I know she likes me but she said she wants to pursue her dream, and one more thing she didn’t know about my real identity”.

“What do you mean? Victor asks and Mom and Dad look at me at the same time with questionable looks.

I mean I didn’t tell her that who is my father and Barrett industry is ours, that’s it.

“But why”? mom asks.

“It’s just I don’t want anyone to love me because of my money or wealth I want pure love and Mom you know what she didn’t care about when I told her that I did have not much money or I was poor she said she doesn’t mind, and that’s thing make me like her, and this time I seriously love her mom”.

“Ok call her and our special gets also coming so she also can meet our full family and you tell her your feelings no one reject you” ” Mom said.

“Thank you, Mom, today is really the best day for me, I’m going to call her”, I’m so excited today I tell her who I am, she going to be mine.

“And you are all going to like her I’m sure”, I said.

“Yes, we know your choice whatever you like at first it never works we always choose for you what is best for you,” Dad and Victor sarcasm said I know they’re right my first choice is never good but this time I prove them wrong this time I’m in love.

‘Stop teasing my boy now he is grown and he knows what is right for her and how he can spend his whole life, I believe my boy’s choice’ my mom supported me,

“love you, mom”.

“Ok let’s see his choice how good she is and whether she can adjust in our family or not Dad said”.

I’m just a little tense because it is so hard to impress my Dad but I try to convince him “Dad believe me you don’t regret meeting her”.

“Ok call her I want to see your choices, and if she is the right one for you, you marry her as soon as possible before I go on my vacation,” my dad said and smiled at my mother “Also give me a cute little grandchild”.

I get shy when Dad tells me to give him a grandchild after married as soon as possible, “Dad it’s so early to married I’m just going to join your company and I didn’t make my name as you did so how could I marry now”.

“Why don’t you marry now baby if she is the one you want in your life for your lifetime”, yeah your mom is right Dad supports Mom.

‘You know when I and your mom married when I decided to start my own business no one supported me that time was so hard for me and at that time I was totally in love with your mom and I couldn’t live without her so we decided to marry we both are at the earlier age of our success but we support each other and now look here we are and I’m happy’.

“Dad you and Mom are my idols I love you guys”, Victor said and we Hugged, this is called happy family.

Suddenly my phone beeped and I got a message.

It was an unknown number, I opened the message and after I saw it changed my whole world, I didn’t believe it......................................................
