Chapter 1: New Kid on the Block
It is a quiet college town of North, Massachusetts, Victor Ryan Hensley had arrived to attend the Christian North Institute for Education where he was scheduled to get his degree. The new town was created by billionaire philanthropist Christian North as a way to bring in revenue to the state of Massachusetts. Victor was one of the newer students who arrived of at this prestigious new institute.
“Ah yes, my parents Danielle and Buster must be so very proud of me to attend such an exclusive college” said Victor to himself.
But Victor wouldn’t be the only prestigious member of the elite to join the new college – Rashid Salim who is affiliated with the Saudi Royal family was going to attend the college as well. It would be a chance to get away from all of that sandy desert from Saudi Arabia.
“You must be with the new student body,” said Rashid.
“Yes, I am,” said Victor.
The two hit it off without a hitch, despite coming from different backgrounds, Rashid felt relieved he wasn’t the only one who was facing family trouble.
“I can’t imagine how terrible our parents are to ourselves,” laughed Rashid.
The new student body were moving towards the auditorium for an introduction with Mister Christian North himself. But as Victor and Rashid were moving through the row of new students a girl dressed all in black purposely bumped into Victor.
“Hey, she should say excuse me to you,” said Rashid.
The girl dressed in typical Gothic clothing ignored Rashid’s remarks and moved on.
“Who was she?” asked Victor.
Rashid shrugged; he couldn’t imagine the sort of terrible punishment someone like that would face back in his home country. But both Victor and Rashid had no choice but to press forward and sit with the other student body. One member of the student body – a Greek student by the name of Katerina Demetriou was particularly friendly towards everyone. She invited both Victor and Rashid to sit next to her.
“So, you two are going to join this semester, what classes are you going to take?” asked Katerina.
Rashid was annoyed with the way Katerina wanted to know everything about them, Victor did his best trying to be polite. But Victor still couldn’t help getting the feeling he was being watched by that same Gothic girl.
“Something bothering you?” asked Katerina.
“Uh, nothing, it’s nothing really” replied Victor.
“Well it’s obviously something” continued Katerina, “since you are embarrassed to talk about it.”
“Hmm, noisy girl if you must know a strange girl in black ran into him earlier,” said Rashid.
Katerina couldn’t believe the abrupt response by Rashid, she decided not to speak to either man after those comments. But as Christian North soon emerged to speak, Victor still couldn’t shake the feeling of the identity of that Gothic girl. There had to be some odd connection between her and Christian North. The strange Gothic girl was just a few feet ahead in another row, she glanced back which Victor did his best trying to hide.
“Welcome, welcome, thank you for attending my Educational Institute” said Christian as he step towards the microphone, “I hope you all have a pleasant stay. Each of you will be assigned dorm rooms, and you can register for your classes. Remember every penny will be going to the Massachusetts state government.”
Christian North was no doubt doing this in favor for the Common Good Association which had its Governor Bradley Wall scheduled to visit within the month.
