Prologue
I wake up with a sharp pain in my belly, it’s piercing and out of this world. Whoever brought about period pains must have had some anger issues because this is not normal.
I lift my body and sit upright, trying to make sure that I don’t touch where the pain is coming from.
Musa opens his eyes, unlike me he is a light sleeper and always wakes up each time I make a movement in bed. At first I used to think that he was weird, then I started to think that maybe he was not getting enough sleep because of the number of times he had to wake up but eventually I after being with him for years I now know that this is how he is and no matter what I do he will never change.
‘Are you okay babe?’ He asks rubbing his eyes
‘I am.’ I say feigning a smile in the dark so that I don’t worry him
‘I will get you a pain killer and your water heating bottle.’ He says getting out of bed.
I hate that he is up but also I am happy that years later he continues to go all out for me.
This is my perfect man. My man.
