"Reading Unmasking Movies Within the Mind was an excellent experience, and I highly recommend checking it out. It covers a broad range of themes and topics; and, for any people who have read or seen Lord of the Flies, that chapter will help you recognize a lot of nuances that you may have missed while reading the book or watching the movie. There’s also good writing about the dangers of exposing kids to horror movies at a young age, very wise advice about the dangers of gambling addiction and how it can suck one in and cause trouble in one’s life, and many more excellent and insightful philosophical/moral musings. There are also some great stories; including an excellent sci-fi tale and a very heartbreaking story about a comedian whose excellent fun and jokes are really superb but who then has a tragic set of bad circumstances take things to a terrible terrible place. I’ve really enjoyed reading Unmasking Movies Within the Mind, and I look forward to reading more of this author’s writing!"

"I've looked forward to each chapter. Whether I've seen the movie or not, whether it's a discussion of the themes or a short story inspired by the movie, each chapter has been worth reading. The stories are particularly well written. Though short they create vivid scenes and invariably leave you with a lot to think about. I love exploring the more difficult and uncomfortable aspects of human nature and at the end of each chapter you find yourself pondering those questions that may have unnerving answers but may help you better understand who you are and who you would rather be. I'll be looking forward to new chapters being added! "
A Gripping Dive Beneath the Surface
"Jon Wicky’s The End of an Era is a well-crafted, thought-stirring piece that takes inspiration from the 2009 film "Knowing" while building something uniquely its own. It doesn’t just echo the movie—it expands on its emotional and philosophical undertones in a way that feels both personal and timely. What makes this story stand out is how it blends cinematic influence with original insight. There's a quiet depth running underneath the action, inviting me to reflect on bigger patterns and meanings. A bold and compelling read that was really entertaining. On the editorial side of things, the last part of the story could use a bit of tightening and cleanup—but I read it through to the end, fully engaged. Credit to Jon for crafting this story. I will definitely want to read more from him in the future."
CHP 19 “Knowing The End Of The Era”
"What a very well written and interesting story. After the first paragraph I was hooked, i just wanted to read and know more about these brave and amazing characters. Isla does what she can to protect her daughter Sonya, from the outside world, along with Isla’s best friend Crystal. This story shows us what one brave mother will do to keep her child safe, while going up against the those in power, and so much unknown that is kept from us all living on this beautiful planet we call Earth. This is a very eye opening story that I thoroughly enjoyed reading.❤️"

"The writer himself suggested I read this one particular chapter. And now I know why. His imagination is so twisted, but realistic at the same time. This will keep you on the edge of your seat with that, "what the hell" face. If you are into the messed up, I mean really messed up, this is it. A must read for the freak. Thank you for sharing."
This story is as deep as the Mariana Trench
"Get your scuba diving gear ready, because this story explores a whole lot of deep topics. It's nice just reading and letting your mind subconsciously think about these ideas. My favourite chapter was the one about scary movies and such. I would definitely recommend every parent to read that one because you'll learn a few important lessons. Overall great read, but a bit too deep maybe."
