New Frontier

Hello. My name is Lizzie and I'm a female, humanoid orange tabby cat. I'm 5 feet, 6 inches and have ginger hair reaching my shoulders. I have two children, both girls, along with my loving husband. My girls are named Michelle and Rebecca and my husband's Darren. We have a lovely home along the coast of California in San Francisco, where I've been my whole life. I met Darren at work which boy, was getting a job one of the hardest things I've done let me tell you! We started trying for children a few years into our marriage, and as luck would have it we would be blessed with our two beautiful girls. I work at this theme park in town called ImagiNation. It's a nationwide franchise, hence the name. It's meant for kids and to give them inspiration to be creative and well, imaginative. It's a nice place to work. I love kids, and they really do like my fur let me tell you! It did take a while to get used to, but I suppose in the end everything worked out. Been working there for years now, and it's easily the best job I've ever had, especially since I met the love of my life there!

Speaking of, I should talk about my family a bit. Let's start with my husband Darren. He's a great man, it took a while for him to open up. He was quite shy when I met him. I'm not one to talk, I was just as shy and awkward as he was when we met. It wasn't intentional, but after we started talking, our personal situations became much more similar, and we grew closer because of that. Darren is an anthropomorphic grey and white husky. He's 6 feet exactly, so he's a little taller than me needless to say! Darren is sociable with me and our kids, but he's still rather shy around others. He's funny, a real clown if he opens up to you; otherwise he's reserved and calm around you. I've been helping him get better at that, and he has really become a much more sociable person lately! And of course there's my daughters, Michelle and Rebecca. Since they came from two different species, they get traits from both of us. Michelle has my fur color, but has her father's canine features, with the exception of her tail, which is feline. We keep her fur well-groomed, nice and thin. Meanwhile, Rebecca has her father's fur and my feline features. Rebecca is quite fluffy, and she insists in staying like that. I can't blame her, fluffy fur is so much warmer than groomed. Rebecca is the outgoing one, while Michelle is reserved just like her father.

All of them have shown interest in the arts. Rebecca has taking a liking to drawing and painting while Michelle got into writing. Even Darren has the art bug, he's always wanted to be an actor. Of course his shyness is a factor, so I'm working quite close with him to ensure he can open up and fulfill his dream. Me? I'm not the biggest on creativity. Party planning I suppose? I usually do good with that! I don't do anything that could make someone famous like being an artist, or a writer, or an actor; but that's fine with me. I'm happy as long as my family is. While they all have their hobbies I'm usually supplying them with what they need; like paper, paint, lessons, whatever it may be. I'm happy with being the supporter of the family, I take great pride in it!

I'm quite happy with the hand I was dealt, but it wasn't always like that. It all began many years ago, with me, a tablet, and a witch named Gwendolyn. You see, I never used to be the feline I am today, heck I wasn't even a female! It feels like I always was considering how long I've been in this body, but once upon a time, I was a young man, only 20 years old and named Jimmy before I turned into what I am now. After finding an ancient tablet at a lake, I took it back home. Little did I know that the tablet was enchanted, and turns out, was activated by Gwendolyn. The tablet's ancient powers are what turned me into what I am today. Afterwards, Gwendolyn had a field day for herself, and changed many others as well. Her magic couldn't be undone, as the tablet's power was greater than anyone imagined. Although, in the long run, I don't mind this new body, heck I prefer it! However, some people are in my boat, others are still trying to find a "cure" for their "curse."

I've jumped around quite a bit haven't I? Apologies! I've talked much about my life now, but now is the time to talk about the journey getting to where I am now. How exactly did all of this happen? Take a seat, I'm about to tell you a story of love, changes, and new outlooks. This is the story of Jimmy, and his journey through a New Frontier on life; as Lizzie.
