Part One: April
April was not a normal girl. She was obsessed with one man, a man by the name of Derek Strauss. Derek was, in her eyes, the perfect man. Smart, kind, funny and beautiful. She knew everything about him. His favorite color, orange, his favorite song, Sixteen Tons by Tennessee Ernie Ford, even what color underwear he wore every day. But he didn't know she existed. She fantasized about him, every night. Almost every waking moment of her life was dedicated to finding a way to get him to notice her. She had concocted the perfect plan. She was going to make him love her. No matter what. She started keeping tabs on everything Derek did. She was always following him, always within earshot. She heard everything he did. Every other girl he talked to. The plan she devised was simple. Remove the obstacles. The obstacles, in this case, were the other girls. Not a single one was allowed to love him. Only she could. She was the only one that really knew him. She started with Katie. Katie was the closest thing she had to a friend. But Katie once told her that she had a crush on Derek. That just wouldn't do. So she followed Katie home. Silently, she opened her bedroom window. As quiet as a fall breeze, she took a rag, soaked in chloroform, and held it to her mouth. Katie didn't wake up again. Next was Jennifer. She had been dating Derek for 3 months and 18 days. That was 3 months and 18 days too long. Jennifer liked going to the park. So April followed her to the park. When Jennifer went to the public bathroom, April followed. More Chloroform, but instead of being quick, April took her time. She dragged Jennifer into her car, and drove her home. She lived alone. Her mother was sleeping. She had been asleep for a long time. In the basement, there was a table. It was just Jennifer's size. April's only hobby was tying knots. The biggest piece of Jennifer they found was her finger. And last... Last was Autumn. Autumn was a nice girl, if somewhat peppy. She was Derek's best friend. That could turn out bad for April. Autumn went the way of Jennifer. Only, they never found any pieces of her. All that was left was to prepare the Love Nest for Derek. She put up mementos of all she had done for him. A lock of Katie's hair, Jennifer's favorite shirt, a scrap of Autumn's desiccated flesh, hung there with a knife. She moved her bed down there. Put up heart shaped pillows, and scented candles. She even moved mommy down here so she could watch. It was perfect. So, she asked Derek if he'd like to come over. "Uhhhh... No, not really. I'm sorry, I don't even know your name." That made April angry. More than angry. She was murderous. So, that night, instead of watching him from his window, she went inside his window. She took him to her Love Nest. When he woke up, he was tied to a chair. April was kneeling in front of him. Staring at him, with a psychotic smile, and a loving gaze. He tried to throw himself away from April, but he was secured to the chair with her impeccable knot tying skills. "Derek... My love..." She said, her voice sweet as honey. "Look at what I've done for you..." She gestured at the room. Derek's eyes flitted from one thing to the next, until he reached the wall of mementos. The hair, the shirt, the skin. He felt a sinking feeling deep inside him. April climbed on his lap, straddling him. She nuzzled Derek's neck, and took in his smells. This was the happiest she had been in years. "You're gonna do whatever I say, my love, or you're gonna go sleep with mommy..." April pointed at the corner. A dried out husk of a corpse sat there, its hollow eye sockets staring into the depths of Derek's soul. "O-Okay. What do you want me to do?" She caressed his face. "I love it when you do as you're told. It makes this so much easier." She stood up from his lap, and untied him. "I'm going to get ready... You stay right here." She said, shoving him onto the bed. When she came back, she was dressed in nothing but lace that barely covered anything. "Am I beautiful?" Derek could only say one thing. "Yes." "Gooooood..." She went over to a small box on the floor, bending over to give Derek a view. Derek averted his eyes. He noticed something. A small black corner of something that appeared plastic was sticking out from underneath the bed frame. He discreetly placed his foot over it, and pulled it out from under the bed. It was a gun. A lance of fear shot through Derek. April was still searching in the box. As quick as he could, he bent down, and grabbed it, and stuck the gun in his waistband, covering it with his shirt. He got it positioned just as the psycho girl turned around. Derek stood, and backed away from her. "Sit down, my love..." She said. "I don't want to." A cold expression overtook her face. There was not the slightest hint of emotion. She reached over to the wall, and pulled the knife holding the scrap of flesh out of it. She brandished it at Derek and said, "Sweetie... sit." Derek pulled out the gun. Instead of fear, an inquisitive look flashed across her face. "I was wondering where I put that. Give it to me, Derek." She took a step toward him. He racked the slide. "Derek..." She said in a warning tone. Derek pointed the gun at her. She threw the knife to the ground, and walked forward until the cold steel was pressed up against her forehead. "We both know you're not gonna do that, my love..." He did it. With a loud report, the gun recoiled backwards, spitting its projectile, along with a sizable portion of April's brain into the wall. She stood there, for about 5 seconds and said "I'm never gonna stop hunting for you..." She slumped over, and hit the ground, dead. Derek took a good long look at the scene in front of him. Not even in the most disgusting horror movie, could they accurately depict what someone's brains look like when they leave their head. Derek turned and left the room. Little did he know, April was right. She would never stop hunting for him. And she wasn't dead.
