When Prince Hezekiah’s father, King Derek, dies suddenly of a heart attack, the 17-year-old heir is thrust into the immense responsibilities of ruling the kingdom of Antica Metropolis. With his mother Queen Eliz gravely ill and the weight of a legacy pressing down on him, Hezekiah must find his footing as the new king. From a young age, Hezekiah shared an unbreakable bond with Moni, his majestic blue dragon, gifted to him as an egg by his mother. Hatched when he was just three, Moni has been his loyal companion through every trial. Now, as danger stirs along the kingdom’s borders and political tensions rise, Hezekiah must learn to master the ancient art of dragon riding with guidance from Monk, the seasoned flight instructor. As Hezekiah steps into his role, he must navigate court intrigue, the fierce loyalty of his dragon, and the burden of legacy to protect his people and carve his own path as king.
