Summary

When 19-year-old Trust Harper is forced to move in with her estranged mother in Miami, she expects drama—but not lust-fueled chaos. Between the secrets behind her mother’s engagement to the cold and powerful Axel Nilsen and the flirtations of his dangerously charming brother Arles, Trust finds herself tangled in forbidden desires. As she uncovers lies that could destroy the lives around her, Trust must choose whether to guard her heart or set it on fire. But in a world of temptation, power, and betrayal, trust may be the most dangerous thing of all.

Prologue

***

“Don’t you think you’re too young to smoke and attend parties?”

A low husky voice fanned over my bare shoulder.

I snapped my eyes open and saw the most gorgeous man alive towering over me, his lips curled into a smirk. My breath caught when he leaned closer, his scent mixing with the Miami night air like a drug.

“Do you need a handkerchief for your drool?”

“I’m Trust,” I said, extending my hand like an idiot, completely hypnotized.

“Trust,” he repeated slowly, like he was tasting it.

Then I kissed him.

I didn’t know his name. I didn’t know he’d be in my house the next morning.

Or that he was my mother’s fiancé.
