Tears of slime, or How a Slime Nested in My Body and Got Me the Love of My Life

All Rights Reserved ©

Summary

What if all your imperfections had an easy fix—at the cost of your privacy? Sixteen-year-old Inés has finished secondary school wrapped in loneliness and sadness. Marked by her parents’ divorce and her anxiety about starting high school, she hopes to find some peace in her grandparents’ quiet village, working as a lifeguard and spending the summer with her favorite cousin. But her plans for peace dissolve when a peculiar creature—a pulsating, viscous slime—attaches itself to her body in order to survive. The strange being promises to leave once it regains its strength… as long as Inés keeps the secret and meets its demands. And maybe, just maybe, it will reward her. Trapped in this impossible bond, Inés must face not only her deepest fears, but also the dangers the creature has drawn into her life. Tense, intimate, and strange, Tears of slime is a dark fantasy about initiation, identity, consent, and what it means to share your thoughts with something that isn’t entirely human.

Author's note

Welcome

Thank you very much for giving this book a chance, and I hope I can count on your gracious presence in the following chapters.

What I offer you below is my personal take on the paranormal and supernatural romance novels I grew up with. If you have read the Twilight saga or similar books and enjoyed them, allow me to say that you may have found your next read.

However, I must warn you first. This book deals with topics such as the impact of divorce on a teenager and bullying, and contains some explicit scenes and a certain degree of violence. Therefore, if you feel that these topics might make you uncomfortable, I invite you to reconsider whether you are ready to read this book.

That is all from me, except to thank you again for your interest.

Best regards.

Ku_Rolet: The novel was good, and I really enjoyed reading it. I love the leads and their bond, but I have one question that confused me. How could Tristan have been dreaming about his mate since he was a child if Omara was already mated to someone else before him? If Kyle had accepted Omara, would Tristan ne...

jeannie2244: Such a different story from your usual love story. I love stories that aren't just a cookie cutter romance with the same story line and predictable. This is unlike any I have ever read and so nice to read something new and refreshing.

dimensions58: A truly wonderful tale filled with action and a closeness that wasn't wrapped in sex. An amazing story line that kept interest and moved well. It didn't stagnate with what the other side was doing but kept the focus on the hero and heroine. Congratulations.
