Chapter 1
I woke up in our new body and headed to the shower as a girl for the first time. I didn’t mind being a boy, but Alex did. Now, she finally got it her way.
After setting down my toothbrush in the soap holder, I gargled some water, turned off the shower water again, wrapped my body with a red towel and sat down on the toilet seat. I imagined with great detail another smaller red towel of mine. Creating a new one would be needless, but it required the same level of detail and concentration in my mind to translocate the folded fluffy mass into my hands.
After wrapping my hair to dry, I grabbed Human Anatomy: The Fine Details and sat down. There was too much I could mess up that a towel wouldn’t care any less about.
Alex finally spoke from inside my mind.
5 am? Really?
As was the most common way we’ve talked to each other since she appeared almost five years ago, I formed thoughts and directed them back to her within my mind.
I said, I still don’t want people staring at me. You wanted a turn being the “right gender” even though you didn’t mind being a boy. I guess it’s a little more embarrassing being a girl for real.
Alex let me put on the girl’s uniform while we continued to talk. I could only guess how long she’d been paying attention for the ten minutes we’d been up, but she kept silent until I turned off the electric ventilation and the lights, then walked out toward the kitchen.
She then spoke again, Give me control or fill the role a little. You could stand to act like a girl.
I never was not all that manly, anyway...don’t make me have to be too girly. It’s silly, I complained.
Fine. But I get control if anyone talks shit about us.
