Prologue
Inside the ocean, there is the deep. No human is bold enough to go there even with their sophisticated machines, they can’t get a grasp of that place.
Few tried but couldn’t live to tell the tales.
In Greek mythology, Sirens lived on land as half human and half birds with wings. They were daughters of Acheloüs (a river god) and other divine creatures (unknown).
They lived on rocky islands ( like Anthemossa) and lured sailors to their death with their enchanting voices.
During the evolution of the world, especially the middle ages, Siren blended with mermaid folklore. They become more like fish(half human and half fish). Seductive and associated with the sea. Their hypnotic eyes are powerful and have deadly charms that can ruin a man. Their enchanting voices are as powerful as death itself.
Throughout history, their tales have been told and only the foolish risked their lives to seek them out. Sailors and ship men had lost their lives capturing one. Only a few survived but their souls had been sucked out from their bodies. Nothing to show forth. They wandered about till they died.
Sirens have been known as curses. A woe to man. They tempt humans like a puppet and kill them as predators. Being in water, they are unmatched as their attacks are swift and lethal. They hunt for survival not for food.
Diverse cultures know about their existences with different folklores about them. Each telling us their experiences and encounters but this is my own tale.
