All the money in the world couldn’t stop the inevitable. The cancer had spread and I didn’t have long to live. I decided to forego treatment because it would severely affect the quality of what little life I had left. For the moment, I was still strong but that would soon change.
Obviously, I didn’t want to die and certainly not in pain but knowing that I was on my way out really put everything into perspective. I’d worked hard, made a lot of money and I’d been happily married for more than three decades.
Unfortunately, I lost my beautiful wife in a car accident three weeks before my sixty-sixth birthday. That was two years ago and it felt like I was missing a piece of my soul.
Coming face to face with my own mortality also released me of a lot of self created traps. My whole life, I had an iron grip on my carefully crafted reputation. It had instantly become irrelevant.
Of course, I wasn‘t planning on committing any crimes but I definitely wanted to experience a few more things before I stepped out of this world.
I knew that my wife didn’t want any children, instead she set up charities to help kids in need. Equally, she knew that I was bisexual and had once offered to bring another man into our bed, but I had refused.
The time had come for me to tick off an item from my bucket list. I’d always fantasized about sleeping with another man… actually, more than one at the same time.
I decided to reach out to my former CFO. He'd become a total manwhore after his divorce and had once mentioned an agency, Artisan Getaways that organized exclusive roleplay orgies across the country and even abroad.
He’d bragged about fucking six different girls in their mid twenties with tight pussies and perky tits. Supposedly, the agency also catered for gays, lesbians, bisexuals and even pansexuals. I had no idea what that last category was but I definitely knew which one I wanted to sign up for.
After downloading the app, I made an account and paid the two thousand dollar access fee. It served as a customer filter, as well as an ID verification.
The app was a beautiful piece of software that oozed luxury. Navigating through the various experiences felt like I was booking a premium holiday rather than signing up for a sex party.
I’d initially considered making a reservation for a local event when a subtle banner suddenly popped up at the bottom of the screen.
‘Join us in the ancient Nordic afterlife as a fallen hero. Valhalla is the ultimate Viking Getaway.’
I tapped the banner and read the description. It was a brand new experience with first come first serve access. The start of a mythology series of roleplays, the event was going to take place in Sweden.
Unable to deny the serendipity of being first in line for an experience that took place in a realm after death, I tapped the sign-up button.
The first thing it asked was the type of event I wanted to participate in. I selected the option that included both men and women but it informed me that it was already fully booked.
My heart thumped as my finger hovered over the ‘gay’ selection box. I wanted an experience with multiple guys but was I ready for one with only guys?
Fuck it!
Apparently, fate had already chosen this path because the app allowed me to make the reservation.
I was going to Valhalla!

The age, the marriage experience and the bucket list make this story different from the other ones. Cannot wait to read about character’s unique journey…. especially when I agree with his idea of the last wish list
Fallen hero? Afterlife? Michael, we do you take these brilliant ideas? Every story is a new discovery
orgy in Sweden? wow! saving this book for a later read... I'm curious to know how it went in the Northern lights , 🤞
