Chapter 1
Everything, according to Jungkook, was dreamlike, and therefore unreal and untrue.
It's no wonder he had great difficulty digesting what he had been told.
And it wasn't as easy as it seemed to others, because, as we know, they weren't him, unfortunately.
Especially since he still had to endure the horror his tormentors had inflicted on him, and he wasn't one hundred percent sure.
Had he managed to escape and return to his real home?
Or was he still stuck with those he'd longed to escape from?
Which caused significant problems, and, as we know, he wasn't the culprit.
It's no wonder Jungkook still couldn't get used to all these changes.
In his miserable life — as he'd believed until then — which had been nothing but a nightmare for him.
This still made him feel uncomfortable and felt like it would have been better if he didn't exist.
He felt like he was invisible and couldn't change it, no matter how much he wanted to.
And therefore, the only person he could rely on was his vampire butler, Taehyung.
It was only thanks to him that he didn't shatter into a billion pieces until the very end.
It was thanks to him that he realized he didn't have to be truly afraid of anything anymore.
As it had been until recently, even Jimin hadn't been able to help him in that regard.
Although he still couldn't believe that creatures like vampires existed and thrived in this day and age.
Therefore, it was no wonder he was quite shocked.
When he learned that Jimin's friend — who, nomen omen, was also a Vampire Hunter — was also a vampire.
Something he never expected, he was one hundred percent certain of.
And now he was just finishing up his eighteenth birthday party. The party was thrown for him by his real grandmother, the Head of the Jeon Family.
Even though he knew he was safe now.
He still couldn't shake the feeling that something could happen at any moment and everything would burst like a bubble.
He was slowly making his way towards where Rose, Jimin, and Taehyung were.
When suddenly, out of nowhere, Jimin started acting strangely, which was a bit suspicious.
Not to mention Rose herself, who had the look of someone who had just done something wrong and been caught red-handed.
Which Jungkook really didn't understand, but then again, he hadn't from the very beginning of this strange conversation.
So it was very understandable that he understood nothing about it.
He jumped quite a bit in surprise when his friend suddenly started yelling at Rose.
And Taehyung started to look like he was about to explode or faint and dissolve.
Which completely confused Jungkook, and he was getting more and more confused with each passing moment.
“Holy shit! Rose, what the hell did you give Taehyung?!,” Jimin screamed after a moment, right after Taehyung suddenly collapsed to the floor.
Although there had been no indication that anything like that was about to happen.
Especially since Taehyung, like Rose herself, was a vampire, so normal things didn't work on him.
Except for silver bullets, an aspen stake, holy water, and a cross.
Although Jungkook couldn't be 100% sure about that either, as he wasn't about to experiment on him.
That's why he, just like Jimin himself, had no clue what Rose had inflicted on Taehyung.
And until they had the slightest idea what had happened to him, there was no way they could do anything further.
So, before Jimin said anything more, he decided to ask her himself, to get more out of her.
However, judging by the mischievous expression she was currently wearing,
He slowly began to suspect that it might have been something much worse than he and Jimin were currently thinking.
“Jimin's right about that. Rose, what the hell did you give Taehyung?,” Jimin repeated Jimin's question after a moment, Jungkook himself not intending to beat around the bush.
And you could hear a hint of nervousness in his tone.
Which, as you know, was understandable, given what he'd just seen.
This was the first time Jungkook had encountered something so uninvited that he didn't even notice he'd interrupted the conversation.
Especially since he hadn't even let them know he'd approached them, just said nothing.
It's no wonder they both flinched a bit at the sound of his words.
They were clearly so focused on themselves and Taehyung that they'd forgotten he even existed.
Not to mention, if Rose hadn't pulled something, he wouldn't be losing his mind right now, waiting to see what would happen next.
And yet, today was his eighteenth birthday, and he'd been living in the Mansion of his real grandmother, the Head of the Jeon Family, for maybe a year.
He still couldn't get used to all this luxury and everything.
That's why he needed Taehyung so badly, because if he weren't there, he probably wouldn't be here right now.
He sighed quietly, finally looking murderously at Rose, who had handed Taehyung something.
But she refused to tell them what, just smiled stupidly and feigned innocence.
Neither Jungkook nor Jimin liked this; they knew they couldn't do anything about it.
However, it took them a moment to realize he had arrived.
No wonder they reacted the way they did to his sudden appearance.
"Mother, Jungkook! Am I going to lose my heart one day because of you?!,” Jimin hissed after a moment, clutching his heart.
Jungkook just tilted his head, like one of those prairie dogs.
When she heard Jimin's response.
That was because he didn't quite understand what he meant or why he'd spoken to him that way.
Although after a moment, he realized why they reacted the way they did.
Therefore, he responded to their words, becoming slightly offended.
"It's not my fault you were so engrossed in your conversation that you didn't notice me!," Jungkook replied with amusement, trying to turn what had happened into a joke.
Jimin wasn't at all pleased that his friend had approached them like an assassin without saying a word.
But there was nothing he could do about it, and all he could do was move forward.
Although he wasn't happy with what Jungkook had done, what was done was done, and he had to accept it, whether he wanted to or not.
"It depends on who…," Jimin didn't finish his sentence, as Rose interrupted him.
Rose listened to the exchange between Jungkook and Jimin for a moment.
She decided to remind Nim not only of her own existence.
But also the state Taehyung was currently in.
Which he wasn't particularly happy about, but he didn't have the strength to argue with her about.
That's because there was no point in arguing with her, because it would never end.
“If you were in my shoes, it would be better if you handcuffed Taehyung before whatever I gave him kicked in. Because then things might not be so good, although it depends on who…," Interjecting Jimin, Rose sensed what was about to happen.
It took Jungkook and Jimin a moment to realize what Rose had just said.
Rose, whose existence they had completely forgotten for a moment, was not a good move.
Which was somewhat understandable, since they were so engrossed in their conversation that nothing else mattered to them.
It was no wonder they reacted the way they did to her words.
"WHAT ARE YOU DOING?!," Jungkook and Jimin said in sync, right after hearing Rose's words, which they couldn't possibly understand.
Rose only sighed at the sound of those words, but didn't respond yet, knowing perfectly well that what had happened was done.
And therefore, they had to accept it, which wasn't as easy as they thought.
Therefore, all they could do was continue, even though they didn't want to.
However, that didn't mean they had any control over it.
“You probably didn't…,” Jimin didn't finish his sentence, looking at Rose fearfully.
“Yes, I gave him what you're thinking now!,” Rose replied with pride evident in her tone, unable to understand the terror written on Jimin's face.
He sensed Jungkook was about to ask what it was, and he wasn't wrong about that.
“But what did she give him, because I don't understand?,” Jungkook asked after a moment, trying to deduce what this casual conversation, which seemed more like a pun, was about.
Or "finish the sentence," rather than a normal conversation.
Jimin and Rose just sighed when they heard Jungkook's question.
But what was surprising, since he had no clue about such things?
So they had to wait for an answer from that damn vampire.
A vampire who was slowly starting to get on their nerves with her idiotic behavior.
“Before I answer your question, it would be best if we took him to a suitable place and cuffed him…,” Rose didn't finish her sentence, as she was interrupted by Jungkook.
At that point, Jungkook was completely confused and didn't know what to think about all of this.
It was already beyond him, but he knew he had to pull himself together and move forward.
Especially since it took them a moment to realize what Rose had just said, which had deeply affected them.
Which was understandable, considering what she'd just told them.
“How so?!,” escaped Jungkook's lips, ignoring the fact that Rose hadn't finished her sentence yet.
“And that's because neither I nor Rose, much less you, will be safe. That's why we have to do this!,” Jimin firmly finished what Rose hadn't had a chance to say.
At the same time, he only secretly hoped she hadn't given him too much, because otherwise, there would be a lot of trouble.
And from what he guessed now, that was probably exactly what she was doing, and there was nothing he could do about it.
However, she wasn't going to tell them what she was going to tell them, which pissed them off, but they knew perfectly well that he wasn't getting anything more out of her anyway.
“No way! There's no way I'm handcuffing Taehyung, no matter what they give him!,” Jungkook replied after a moment, thoroughly unnerved by their words.
“Really?!,” Rose asked after a moment, a mischievous smile plastered on her face.
“That's right!,” Jungkook announced at her words, his eyes sparkling.
“Then I advise you to prepare yourself, because if we don't, you'll have a rough and tumble night with Taehyung. I just don't know which of you will be on top and which on the bottom. I want to see it with my own eyes, how you try to escape from him!,” Rose said after a moment, and Jimin only nodded at her words, because now he was one hundred percent sure that this was exactly what she had given Taehyung.
“WHAT?! DON'T MAKE JOKES LIKE THAT! TAEHYUNG HAS NO INTEREST IN ME IN THAT WAY!,” Jungkook growled after a moment, as they found themselves in his room, Jimin cuffing Taehyung, which, as he knew, he didn't like, but there was nothing he could do about it at the moment, and it was really irritating him.
"Sorry, man, but you're sorely mistaken, my dear! However, I have no idea why he still hasn't told you. Maybe he didn't want to lose you, that's why he hid it, but now there's no way he can keep it hidden. What Rose gave him is called Vampire Aphrodisiac, which has a strong effect on people like him. And you know perfectly well what happens during its human equivalent, right?," Jimin asked at the very end, after making sure Taehyung was properly neutralized.
For a moment, Jungkook thought he'd misheard, but from the look on Jimin's face, he realized he'd heard correctly.
That's why it took him a while to finally manage to say anything.
Especially since the word was stuck in his throat, making it difficult to say.
Which was understandable, because anyone in his position would have the same problem as him.
“What?!,” was all Jungkook managed to get out after hearing Jimin's words. When he looked at Rose, she only nodded, indicating that what Jimin had said was absolutely true.
“Truth be told, I didn't mean to give it to Taehyung, but it turned out the way it did, and I sincerely apologize for that. Compared to a regular aphrodisiac, it won't wear off after a dozen or so hours. As long as the vampire who was given it is not satisfied. And I can see that this won't be very interesting in your case. Don't even think I'll do it for you, my love, because it doesn't work that way!,” Rose replied to his words, adding after a moment when she noticed that Jungkook wanted to say something.
Jungkook froze at that moment, and he wasn't joking!
He glanced from her to Jimin, and the room fell into complete silence.
In return, he could hear Taehyung starting to wake up.
Which only made matters worse.
For some reason, though, something inside him was jumping with joy that Taehyung actually reciprocated his feelings.
Which, until now, he hadn't been entirely sure about.
And now there was no turning back, and that didn't suit him at all.
He was somewhat furious with them for making fun of him, but he knew they hadn't done it on purpose.
He just sighed quietly, looking at them with resignation written all over his face.
He knew this moment would come someday.
When he'd have no choice but to admit his feelings for Taehyung.
But this wasn't how he'd imagined it, and what Rose had done had been foul play on her part.
There was no turning back now, and if he continued to pretend nothing had happened,
It wouldn't work, and that was the only way he'd sink deeper.
He wanted to strangle, to murder Rose for what she'd done.
Maybe what she'd done was funny in her eyes, but to him, it wasn't.
For a long moment, he looked at her and Jimin in silence.
Hoping that they would finally think of something that would help prevent it.
And from their expressions, he could tell that wasn't going to happen.
Which drove Jungkook even further insane, making him feel like a plum in a stew.
If he'd predicted something like this would happen, he probably would have been keeping a close eye on Taehyung.
But tea was over, and he had to find a way out.
And after what they'd said, his only option was to reveal his feelings.
Whether he wanted to or not, he couldn't say it like that.
But there was no turning back, and he had to do it anyway.
"I swear, Rose, you'll get a real beating and you'll regret what you did! It doesn't matter if you did it on purpose or not!," Jungkook said to her after a long moment of silence, glaring at her with murder in his eyes.
Jimin remained completely silent for the time being.
Because he probably knew that no matter what he said, it wouldn't change anything.
He just sighed, hoping Jungkook would somehow get through this night.
Because he was sure that tomorrow Taehyung would definitely have a massive hangover and barely remember anything about it.
Jungkook felt so awful that it couldn't possibly get any worse.
This wasn't how he'd imagined them both revealing their feelings for each other.
But apparently, there was no other choice, so he wasn't surprised that Rose had acted as she had.
Although she should have told him sooner, there was nothing she could do about it now.
Consult him instead of doing what she thought was right.
If only Jimin had kept an eye on Rose, this wouldn't be happening now, he was one hundred percent sure of that.
But tea was over, and he had to accept it.
Tearing Rose apart wouldn't help now, because it wouldn't do anything if she did.
The most important thing now was to somehow manage Taehyung, who was probably unaware of what was happening around him.
And maybe that was all the better, because he would probably strangle Rose himself for what she'd given him.
He could picture him killing her and Jimin screeching at the sight.
Although he wouldn't have cared at all, because it was her fault, not his.
And therefore, it was her own fault for doing it behind their backs.
If she hadn't done that, they wouldn't have had to do it now, he was one hundred percent sure of that.
And now Jungkook had returned to participating in the conversation so they wouldn't forget he existed.
Which was about to happen, so he had to prevent it.
"I hope you're right, because if not, I can't guarantee it!," Jungkook growled after a moment, not wanting to just forgive them.
Jimin, hearing his words, only sighed heavily.
And Rose acted as if nothing had happened, continuing to play innocent.
It made him want to punch her in the face with a right hook.
Although he knew he wouldn't have done anything to her anyway, he'd still get some satisfaction out of it.
And judging by their current behavior, he could tell they wanted to get out of there as quickly as possible.
Which, as we all know, was their only option to escape before it was completely too late.
"What's done is done, so we shouldn't cry over spilled milk. Besides, you and Taehyung wouldn't have fully revealed your feelings for each other. So, instead of looking at Rose with murder in your eyes, you should thank her for it! Now, it's best if we leave you together!," Jimin announced quickly after a moment, taking Rose by the tailcoat and leaving them alone in his room.
Jungkook, confused by this, looked for a brief moment at the place where they were still.
Not really understanding what was actually happening.
That's why he glanced between the door and Taehyung, who was slowly starting to wake up.
Although, for him, his "waking up" wasn't the same as his own.
That's because Taehyung was a vampire, not a mortal.
He sighed again, still thoroughly irritated by the other two's behavior.
Rose would have understood, but Jimin's behavior was out of character for him.
It was as if he had no intention of helping him at all and was having a good laugh at what had happened, which was in no way in his favor.
He didn't even have the faintest idea what he'd have to do the next day when Taehyung completely lost it.
One thing he was certain of was that he'd probably want to murder Rose, and then Jimin himself.
So he had to do something to help him avoid it.
And the only option was, just as his friend and his friend had said.
Although he wasn't exactly thrilled about it, not like this.
He didn't want them to do something like that without any extras, but there was no turning back now.
Everything would still be bearable if he weren't completely green when it came to things like this, like green grass in spring.
And therefore, he had no clue where to begin.
He already felt terrible, guilt-ridden, because Taehyung might think he was behind it.
And not Rose, as it really was, and that he'd asked her to do it, even though that wasn't the case at all.
He walked over to the window, not looking at him at all.
He didn't need to look at him to know how irritated he was.
Unable to move, but it was better for him this way. Night had long fallen, and the moon was shining brightly.
It was as if he had no idea what was going on in this room.
Maybe it was better for them, because he would have been terrified, he was one hundred percent sure of that.
“How dare you cuff me, you damn worm!,” He heard Taehyung's voice behind him after a moment, and when he turned to face him, he saw his eyes glowing dangerously red.
Not to mention his fangs, which were also visible.
“It wasn't me who cuffed you, it was Jimin, after all! And besides, it was for your own good, because Rose was drugging you with something nasty. So you could have hurt not only me, but yourself as well, and you probably wouldn't want that, right?,” Jungkook replied after a moment.
Words that had somewhat scared him, but he knew he wasn't in his right mind.
So he had to forgive him for those words, because how could it be otherwise?
He wasn't in his right mind, so it was no wonder he spoke the way he did?
Anyone in his position, if they were in his situation, would speak the way they did, if they were in his situation.
“Yeah... I can see it now?! I wonder what, because I feel so wonderful!,” Taehyung said after a moment, looking at him with even more desire than when he'd first spoken to him after waking up.
Which he thought was a bit strange, but it was probably due to whatever he was currently on.
He couldn't see any other explanation, but he didn't want to think about it anymore either.
The more he tried, the more his mind seemed to agree with him, which didn't exactly fill him with optimism.
But he had to think of something, because what else could he do at a time like this?
“Yeah... And who's looking at me with even more lust because of that damn Vampire Aphrodisiac Rose was dosing you with? Sorry, Taehyung, but from what I know, you normally look at me like you want to jump me and fuck me, I'm one hundred percent sure of that!,” Jungkook replied after a moment, not wanting to beat around the bush.
Let alone play cat and mouse with his own butler.
Jungkook didn't want to talk to him like that.
But he himself had provoked him in this regard, so he had no other choice.
He also began to feel his lust, which was overpowered by that aphrodisiac.
It prevented him from thinking logically either.
