Prologue
The court room is quiet, everyone close to the accused is present and they are all waiting for the turn out of events. Prayers have been held and everything else possible just to make sure that this doesn’t get to the worst.
‘How do you plead?’ The judge asks
The accused looks at everyone in the room before his mouth goes dry.
‘How do you plead Mr. Quinton?’ The judge asks again
He looks at everyone he has grown up with, everyone that he has had conversations with and called home. Everyone that has looked up to him and told him that he would live to be a hundred. His wife, his love and the woman he was going to die beside.
‘Guilty your honour.’ He responds before looking down
‘I sentence you to twenty six years with hard labour.’ The judge says before dismissing the court and walking back to his chambers.
