Prologue

Welcome, welcome to all curious souls who dared to open the cover of this book. Since you think you are so brave, let’s play a game.

I will give you three hints to guess my job. If you are smart enough to guess it, congratulations, you may continue to read the story. Forgive me, but I can’t start before I eliminate the fools among you.

Here are your three hints:

Blood.

Killing.

Legitimized.

Now, think. Use that tiny brain of yours.

I hear some answers: assassin? No. Please, how can this be legitimized? Murderer? Again, not legitimized.

It’s not easy to guess when there are killing and legitimized in the same sentence, right?

Luckily, I hear some correct answers too. Seems you are not complete idiots after all.

If you didn’t say an executioner, you are out. Close the book and suffer in silence.

But if you guessed it right…

Well, now I can’t stop you from reading the darkest story that has been told in all the lands, can I?

Before we start, you have to remember, there are indeed other lands instead of yours. Do not be mistaken for thinking the things you’ll read are just some stupid fairytales. Never disrespect the people who take part in this story. It all began on 8.12.1613. The execution that changed everything took place that day.

This whole book is written by Evangeline Walkryia at my command after the Xlendia War. Everything here is based on war documents, diaries of soldiers and my own personal notes. The reason behind it to remember the history of how Ⅰ. Xlendia destroyed and how ⅠⅠ. Xlendia built.

One last thing before you start: Is the wrong path always the bad one? Save your answer for later.

Now, you may flip the page.
