Prologue
Venice Claire Tarre — the only daughter of the King and Queen of the Underground — once tasted the agony of death. Tortured beyond reason, her screams faded into the darkness, but death refused to claim her. She rose from the grave not as a girl, but as a monster feared by all who dared speak her name. Pain became her closest companion, the cruel reminder that she was still alive.
Years passed in shadows. On the day she turned twenty, chains were broken, and freedom was finally placed in her hands. Yet, she did not long for peace… she craved pain. That hunger led her to Martinez Grey Academy, the most prestigious school known for molding the greatest fighters in history. She walked through its gates, not seeking a future — but a battlefield.
But fate, as it always does, had other plans.
There she met Xenon Montreal, the strongest fighter the academy had ever known. His scent was alluring, pulling her in like a whisper she couldn’t ignore. He was a man hunted by death, marked by enemies who longed for his head. And yet, despite the blood on his path, Xenon found something unexplainable in her — something angelic beneath her monstrous shell.
Love came swiftly, dangerously, like a spark in a storm. But just as their hearts grew closer, the world around them turned dark. Venice Claire and several girls were taken by those who wished to break her again. As they clawed their way out of the darkness, a shadow emerged from the depths — someone who should have never returned.
- Venice Claire's POV -
“Claire, why did you cover up using the Scorpio Gang? Do you know them?” Drena asked the moment we opened the door. I nodded.
“They are working for me,” I simply stated.
A year and a half ago, changing back to my normal self from my silencer mode and wearing my Silencer Suit on my way home, a group of gang members blocked my way. I thought I was going to fight them, but they kneeled down in front of me and surrendered their weapons. They introduced all seven members to me, and the leader, Uno, said they were submitting themselves to me. I had no choice but to accept them and continued on my way home.
Everyone thought that the Scorpio Gang was working for no one, even the Tarre Family. Because only I and that gang know that they submitted to me... sealed to their death.
“What the heck! The strongest gang is working for you?!?!” Drena exclaimed. “You’re truly surprising!”
“OMG! Can I meet Uno?? I want to get an autograph.” Cassy said excitedly.
Uno... I smirked. Many strong people are hiding inside this school that no one has discovered... except me. What they think are the best fighters are lousy compared to those strongest hiding in here, including Uno, except for the Insigma Fighters, because they are truly... strong.
We were walking in the hallway of this old building, probably on the third floor. “You’ll be meeting Uno,” I answered Cassy.
“Ahhh!” She screamed excitedly, and Drena laughed. “So childish, Cassy.”
The moment we reached the stairs, I smirked. “You’re late.”
“I’m sorry, I got caught in a load of traffic,” the person walking up the stairs toward us said, smiling sweetly while holding two bloodied swords in both hands.
The two gasped. “You?!” they asked in surprise.
