The Beginning
There was a forest in an uninhabited valley which everyone knew was magical.One day, a young girl who was still a virgin, went into the forest to look for unicorns.There were rumors that only a virgin could touch or ride a unicorn and this young girl wanted desperately to.If only she could see a unicorn!Riding one would be more than she could imagine, but in her mind, she would find them and be accepted by them, maybe win the heart of one that would let her ride it!It would be a dream come true for her.
So, she took a small pack with several days of supplies and a small tent with her into these woods to look for the elusive unicorns.On the second day, she was excited to find horse shoe prints in the soft mud of the forest floor. She had done it!She’d found them. Now all she had to do was follow the prints to see them. She was very eager to see them, but also shy of them, knowing how shy they were of humans, or at least, that’s what the legends always said.
She followed the prints as quickly as she dared deeper and deeper into the woods.When she woke up on the third morning, there were hoof prints all around her tent. Maybe they already knew she was here! She had hoped they would have approached her, but she was determined to find them today!
She went faster and faster, but they seemed to always be ahead of her. She was starting to lose hope of catching sight of them when that night, she heard hoof falls near her tent. She held her breath.
