Confession
“When life gaslights you long enough, you either go quiet-or go mental. And sometimes Both.”
Let’s start with a confession.
I didn’t plan to write Mentalwomen - I just planned to survive adulthood without throwing a slipper at anyone. But since the world refused to cooperate, I wrote instead.
People around me kept saying, “Why do you overthink everything?” “You should meditate.” “Be calm, be feminine, be grateful.”
And I was like - sure, let me just breathe gratitude while juggling unpaid emotions, caffeine overdoses, and everyone’s expectations. That’s when Mentalwomen was born - not from peace, but from chaos. From the silent meltdown behind a “fine, I’m fine.” From all the women who laugh loudly in public and cry quietly in the bathroom.
Somewhere between unpaid dreams and half-eaten parathas, they lose themselves - and that’s where Mentalwomen walks in, saying:
“Relax, darling, even your breakdown deserves a background score.”
If you’re still reading, congratulations - you might be a little mental too. Welcome home. #MENTALWOMEN
