The lighting hero

rain hammered on the rooftops the thunder roard across the night sky. lightning flashed so often that the world seemed to flicker between light and darkness.

inside a small house, chaos filled the room.

'' push!'' one of the midwives shouted.

a women cried out as she fought through another contraction. sweat covered her forehead while her husband knelt beside her, tightly holding her hand.

the room froze.

the husband looked from the baby to the midwives, his smile slowly disappearing.

one of the midwives lowered their head.

the hsuband carefully took the tiny child into his arms. tears filled his eyes before he could even speak.

a heartbreaking scream escaped the mother's lips as she covered her face and sobbed. the husband held the child close while tears rolled down his cheeks.

for the next hour, the small family mourned the son they will never know.

finally, the husband wiped his eyes.

he stepped outside into the ragging storm, carrying a shovel in one hand and the lifeless baby wrapped in a blanket in the other.

the stranger looked at the child.

'' please, '' he said softly.'' don't bury this one.''

the husband tighten his grip on the baby.

'' i can save him.''

the fathers expression twisted with anger and grief.

'' save him? he's dead!''

the mysterious man smiled sadly.

the father looked down at his son one last time.

their was nothing left to loose.

the stranger stepped forward and raised his finger. tiny sparks of lighting gathered at its tip before glowing brighter and brighter.

he gently touched the baby's forehead.

CRACK!!!

a surge of Brilliant electricity exploded through the childs body.

the father's eyes widened.

the baby's tiny body arched.

his dark hair slowly turned white.

''WAAAH!!!''

the baby's cries echoed through the storm.
