Prelude to Destruction:
The world grows hotter, the nights grow darker and exceedingly longer. The light of day slowly disappears, both metaphorically and physically.
Whilst humanity enters an era of depression – one where they question what the future holds and if it is anything for them – those that have previously remained unseen; the hidden and the faceless ventured from the depths of the umbra upon their bloodied hands and knees until they could bask in the semi-dark of the penumbra.
The Earth is dying, humankind is depleting, slowly killing itself and anything that may get in its way.
Though for some, they just can’t die soon enough.
When a species was once the all-consuming, all-powerful and apex predator amongst vicious beasts, it is ill-prepared when faced with an enemy that will be happy with no less than its extinction.
