A Mother's Love,A Father's Guilt, Child's Struggle

No one should have to feel the pain of loss. It consumes you and pulls at your heart until you’re beaten, broken, and dead inside. It’s a pain that is all-consuming.

Aizawa’s P.O.V.

“We welcome those from far and wide to witness the final resting place of Eyiwi Aizawa. She was a beloved friend... Wife... Mother. A supportive loving person, a hero that shall be missed.”

I still couldn’t believe it, not when I went to the wake and saw her body, not when I woke up and found her dead beside me... And sure as hell not now and seeing her all beautiful in the open casket. Her white hair framed her beautiful face and it contrasted greatly against her Melanated dark brown skin. Her white lashes brushed against her cheeks and framed her closed lids which were never to open again. And the dress she wore to her final resting place was one of her favorites..... I remember her telling me that it reminded me so much of her home...a place she told our daughter and me stories about.

Even as I sat here watching her being lowered into the ground and while our daughter, Kenosha, sat next to me, bawling her eyes out... I couldn’t help but think... ‘IT SHOULD’VE BEEN ME!’

I was the one bleeding out and unconscious, the villain we were fighting was worse than Hero Killer Stain. When I woke up, my deadly wound was gone...but my wife .. my partner, was gone as well. The worst thing than seeing my wife dead on the ground next to me was seeing the expression on my four-year-old daughter’s face as she saw her mother beneath the white sheet. I had to tell her that no matter what she did or how long she begged for it, her mother would never wake again... Which leads us to now... My wife’s funeral.

It was my turn to go up to the podium to say some kind-hearted last words, but my mind was blank. As I stood there, I watched them lower the casket, now closed, of my wife deep into the ground; I closed my eyes to see my wife’s beautiful coffee skin, purple eyes, and Snow White hair; it was that brief image that brought me back to reality.

“Kitty... Why? Why did you do it? I have always said that the hardest decisions must be made together... Yet here you are about to be buried forever.” I whispered, shifting around in the tux I had to wear. I laughed emotionlessly, all while tilting my head up to the sky. I can still remember her singing voice when she sang a song chord after our daughter’s birth....she sang one for me the day we got married. I shook my head and looked at my daughter, who was now sitting between her friends Katsuki Bakugou and Izuku Midoriya. I noticed how her little face was stained with tears, but her black hair covered her eyes. “I promise to protect our little Kenosha... And I’ll make sure she never forgets you. Thank you for being the bright light in my life.” I trailed off, smiling sadly. “I love you, Eyiwi.”

The ceremony came to an end, and I stood carrying my daughter, who had cried herself to sleep because she was heartbroken about the entire ordeal, and walking away from the cemetery. It has begun to rain. I could feel my hair getting soaked through and Saw Mrs. Midoriya walking with her son Izuku. “Mrs. Midoriya... Would you mind taking Kenosha for a couple of hours? I’ll come by and pick her up once I’m done.” I gazed at her, noticing that she had a small, sad smile on her face. She extended her arms to my daughter, who I held in her arms, and watched her walk away. I turned back towards the grave that still had the tent covering it, shielding it from the rain. I stood there and stared into the hole, feeling so much guilt and sadness at that moment.

I was the only one here now, the only one who had stayed behind to stare at my wife’s final resting place. My hair had fallen into my face and eyes and clung to my skin as the rain poured harder, and with an anguished cry, I roared out my pain with blurry eyes. I screamed and shouted until my voice could no longer take it and became lost, drowned out by the wind and rain. The only woman I’d ever love...

She was gone...

She was unmoving and buried, and all I could do was stand there and fucking cry and scream. I’ve felt many forms of pain. Over the years... The pain of finding my best friend Shirakuo crushed under rubble... Knowing that the dreams of Me, Hizashi, and Shirakumo were null and void because he was now gone... And here I was, experiencing the same pain, only a hundred times more pronounced, and I couldn’t take it. I ripped my tie off and screamed some more.

This was a pain I wouldn’t wish on my worst enemy... No one should have to feel the pain of loss. It consumes you and pulls at your heart until you’re beaten, broken, and dead inside. It’s a pain that is all-consuming.

Vampire: Great story. Clear plot line and very interesting. Characters are lovely and well made. Amazing writing skills and grammar. Only thing that was a little bit too much is the repetition but I guess it's a writing style? Anyways I love it definitely recommend it!
