"What drives Astrid, a powerful and gorgeous witch to search the dangerous woods? Surely she is aware of the forest’s notorious reputation. Anyone who enters, will never return, their ultimate fate left unknown. But this doesn’t frighten Astrid. She believes her magical powers are a match for the forest, even if she has no control over her ‘trance’ state. The trance causes Astrid to become a demon. Her powers ultimately to be used on the whims of a mysterious conductor, whether for good or evil. This was a good fantasy and well-written. I enjoyed the narrator’s voice which was excellent at invoking an enchanting but dangerous world where you are as likely to meet a demon as easily as a fairy. I only have one minor complaint. The author for some reason prefers passive language. The passive voice is when the subject of a sentence receives an action instead of giving it. There’s nothing wrong with using an occasional passive voice. (I used it myself when describing the plot.) But I find a lot of it can be a little distracting. At any rate this was a fun read with some truly imaginative characters you won’t meet anywhere else. "

The quest in battle or stumbling upon the enemy is an intense and descriptive execution. The forest grows dark and as if pulsing with a manifestation. It is alive. "

"Intriguing tale, exciting, keeps you on your toes. Excellent character development and good storyline. Wouldn't recommend for children because it has blood and violence. The best part is when the archaeologists get separated and have to wander out on their own through the enchanted forest. It has a suspenseful thrill about it and detailed description of the surroundings. Lithia, known as a warrior queen combatting evil in the forest is a strong female character I connected with. Throughout the tale those who are lost find eachother, the temples that hold the sacred gems really surprised me on their purpose in the forest. I'm not going to give it away!"

"This is a an amazing story! Wow and complete, a lot of hard work, why isn't this published already? I like the part where the Legend tells about concepts such as "to find what you are looking for you first have to becoe lost' that is true! Why would you try to find something that isn't lost!"

A reawakening in opulent Alice in Wonderland as it were, drunk on an elixir of the horror that can never be satisfied. Most intense."
