The Horned One

In the year XXXX, a baby born in a rural village grew horns.

It happened just a week after birth. Similar infants began to appear all across the world , it was the dawn of new humanity.

What set them apart from old humans was their extraordinary intelligence, and above all, the “horns” on their heads. Though the size and shape of the horns differed from person to person , the first discovered child’s horns resembled those of a sheep.

Thus, this new race came to be known as the as the Sheep. The Sheep surpassed humankind in intellect, and with their genius invention, they reshaped the world and built immense wealth.

However, their extraordinary talents and distinct appearance provoked resentment among ordinary humans and, before long, they became targets of persecution. Driven to the brink across the world, the Sheep gathered as one and founded an independent nation.

More than a century has passed since the establishment of their homeland———the independent nation of Hornea, built by the Sheep alone. Now that Hornea stands as world’s leading technological nation,and world can no longer survive without its innovations.The car that just passed by,the train I took this morning.Even the phone in my hand is a product of HorneaTech.

However, Hornea strictly prohibits non-Sheep from entering.Likewise,the Sheep are not allowed to leave the country.

In other words,non-Sheep and Sheep rarely come into contact——nor should they. How do the Sheep live,and what do they enjoy? There would be no way to know——or so it was supposed to be.
