Long ago, humans and monsters lived in peace with one another. Together, they cultivated fruits, vegetables, and grains. Together, they built metropolises, cities, and villages. Nothing negative complicated the lives of the two races.
That is, until the early Middle Ages, when humans discovered that monsters could absorb their souls. As a result, monsters enhanced their powers and gained the upper hand over humans in hand-to-hand combat. So the Council of Wizards convened, declaring that peace between humans and monsters was over. This marked the beginning of a hundred years of war between humans and monsters. The battles were bloody and no holds barred. No one fights out of fear anymore. But for dominance.
But then, three noble families—two monster families and one human family—united in central Europe: the Dreemurr royal family, monsters with the appearance of goats, led by King Ramses Dreemurr; the Villa royal family, a human family led by Queen Annalisa; and finally, the Holiday royal family, monsters with the appearance of deer and/or reindeer. Led by Queen Nazareth. They first established a secret pact, then reached a final agreement through a meeting with the seven wizards. There was the Council of the Seven Trials: Audacity, Bravery, Justice, Kindness, Patience, Integrity, and Perseverance.
They formed a truce between humans and monsters. Avoiding the extreme exile of the latter and sealing them off with a barrier. Last but not least, the agreement stipulated that Asgore, the son of King Ramset—who was a close friend of Princess Vanelope Della Villa and Inverno Holiday—could continue their friendship and the future alliance between their houses. But setting aside this minor detail, which neither influenced nor was influenced by the truce, the seven wizards signed the agreement. Exactly ten days after the council, humans and monsters could once again live in peace, without any racial or other distinctions. The peace lasted a long time; everyone seemed to have forgotten the purpose of war… until the early 1900s, and no, what we thought would happen did not. In 1920, there was an earthquake that strangely struck the entire planet. It had a magnitude of 1.9, so it wasn’t deadly, but everyone managed to stay safe, more or less. But on the night of that event, something changed in the perception of reality. A human and a monster were found with no signs of life in the center of Piazza Plebiscito.
In this universe, both our kind and humans can go to Hell or Heaven, and no ashes can separate the gods’ only creations. But setting that aside, what sparked and confirmed a theory the police had was this: a third cup had been struck that night. Based on scratches near the central fountain and various grooves in the ground, a conclusion was reached. Weeks later, the perpetrators of the murders were finally discovered. They are creatures known as HOLLOWS. Skeletal humanoid creatures with purplish skin verging on black, featuring neon fuchsia details. The most unsettling thing is that there were not only normal Hollows. Soon there were also sightings of entire groups of marine and avian creatures resembling dinosaurs, but which are in fact Hollows as well, only they change both their method of attack and their mode of movement.
The World Council, led by the three noble families, agreed to form a single military force comprising the Army, Navy, Air Force, and Royal Guards: the Elite Chavallerie. This force consists of four military branches in one…
Present day, 2011, Naples. It has been about eighty years since the Gendarmerie was founded. And the Hollow attacks haven’t even slowed down; military personnel and scientists are still trying to uncover the origin of these beings. But all we know is that they appeared after the earthquake and all over the globe. We have no leads.
Furthermore, about four years ago, three young men from noble families joined us: Johnny Della Villa, Azrael Dreemurr, and Winter Holiday.
