Devprayag Diaries is a collection of poems that flows like two rivers- sometimes calm, sometimes chaotic- but always searching for a place to meet. These poems carry the weight of expectations, the longing to be free, and the quiet battles of a heart that feels too much. From a girl trying to find herself in a world full of pressure, to a soul discovering love in unexpected ways- this collection captures every stage: the confusion, the first glance, the unspoken connection, the fear of losing, and the beauty of loving anyway. It is about: love that feels like peace, love that feels like chaos, and love that exists somewhere in between- between enemies and lovers, between silence and confession, between Bhagirathi and Alaknanda, these poems meet at their own sangam. Not every feeling is named here, not every story is complete- but every word is real. Sometimes, we don't fall in love loudly... we grow into it quietly. This is my first time writing poems. Each one is a piece of my thoughts, my feelings, and the moments that touched me. I hope they speak to you and let you feel what I felt while writing them.
Wishing I could be free—
free from expectations,
free from those eyes
that want me to succeed.
Wishing I could be free
from being a girl who is lost,
lost in the world
of her own thoughts.
Wishing I could just steal
some moments—
to breathe,
to dream,
to do what I love.
Free like a bird,
able to fly endlessly
into the deep sky,
away from everything.
