scary and thrilling
"The story captures you from the start. It has a few typographical errors that can be easily fixed with spell check but otherwise it was spell binding. It captures the reader and keeps them wondering what is going to happen next. I love the story within the story concept and well done. The characters were well developed. The mother character was awesome to see her grow from a timid terrified woman to one who was no longer afraid of a terrible man was great. The children each had their own personalities which you developed along the way. I would love to know what became of the youngest son... either it was never stated or I missed that part. It is definitely an amazing story and easy to picture in ones head the things that are happening which I love in a book. Just reread and fix the grammar and spelling errors and you have a fantastic book. Hope to read more stories like this. Overall great job. Thanks."

"Couldn't put this one down. It was as though some of the things the author wrote about were real. They were so unique, vivid. The evolution of the main character's mother was what drove it home for me. I was cheering her on the entire time. Great read indeed!"
