Room No. 1317 [Part 01]
A family of five moved from Texas to Washington for business purposes. After traveling a long distance, they were all exhausted. Michael decided to book a room near his new workplace. Because it was already late at night—around 2:00 AM—they urgently booked the first available room. They stayed there for the night, and the next day, they planned to shift their belongings to the Sorrento Hotel to complete their business stay. Michael paid upfront for two months of service for a room for his family. The room number was 1317. Little did they know, these upcoming two months would become the most horrifying time of their lives.
When they entered Room 1317, it looked like an old, abandoned place. It didn't look normal at all, but the family had to stay there for the full two months because they had already paid the non-refundable rent. After settling all of their things, everyone went to their respective rooms to get some rest.
Part 02 [First Notice]
Ana and Eda were sleeping in their room together, while Sam, their 18-year-old brother, slept in a separate room. Room 1317 was just a number, but the space itself was actually a very large apartment.
The abnormal activity began in the daughters' room. While Eda slept soundly, Ana was exhausted but found herself unable to sleep. Directly in front of their bed hung a large mirror. Suddenly, Ana sat up in bed and stared into it. She looked over at her sister Eda, who was fast asleep. But when she looked back into the mirror, she froze. In the reflection, she saw her sister sitting up on the bed directly behind her.
Gaspers, Ana quickly turned around to look at the actual bed—but Eda was still lying down, fast asleep. Rubbing her eyes, Ana tried to convince herself that she was just overtired and hallucinating.
She lay back down to go to sleep, but was startled by a sudden knocking at the door. Thinking it was her mother, Salish, Ana swung her legs out of bed. The moment her feet hit the floor, an unseen force violently shoved her backward onto the bed. Terrified, she cried out, but Eda didn’t stir.
Outside, their mother heard the commotion and rushed over, rattling the doorknob. The door was locked from the inside, even though neither of the sisters had locked it. Hearing her mother's voice, Ana bolted out of bed and ran toward the entryway. Before she could reach the handle, she was violently thrown forward, and her head smashed hard against the door.
Ana screamed. Outside, Salish panicked and threw her weight against the door until it finally gave way. She gasped as she looked at Ana, who already had a massive bump swelling on her forehead. Strangely, despite the loud paranormal chaos and Ana’s piercing screams, Eda remained in a deep, unnatural sleep.
When a crying Ana tried to explain what happened, Salish brushed it off, claiming the floor was just slippery and caused her to fall. She tried to soothe her daughter, reminding her that they only had to endure two months before returning home because the rent was already paid. Unable to defy her mother, Ana stayed quiet.
The Encounter in the Study
After dinner, everyone retreated to their respective rooms. Sam stayed up late, working diligently on a project at his study desk. About five feet away stood an empty chair.
Deep into his work, Sam suddenly felt a chilling sensation—the distinct feeling of being watched. His heart began to hammer against his ribs. Slowly, he peeked over at the empty chair. To his horror, a strange girl was now sitting there, smiling directly at him.
Panicking, Sam grabbed his water bottle and hurled it at her. It struck the girl squarely in the head, and she slumped sideways onto the chair. Heart racing, Sam bolted for the door, desperate to reach his parents' room. He pounded on their door, but no one answered. Suddenly, he heard a sharp sound—like fingers snapping—directly behind him.
He spun around. Standing there was the exact same girl, completely unharmed, holding the very bottle he had just thrown at her. Sam turned to run, but the bottle caught him hard on the back of the head. He collapsed to the floor, his vision fading. As he drifted into semi-unconsciousness, the girl stepped closer. He heard a strange, distorted whisper leave her mouth: "I don't want to hurt you." Then, darkness took him.
The next morning, Sam woke up neatly tucked into his own bed. His head throbbed with a dull pain, and the events of the night were a hazy blur. He couldn't piece the memory together, save for one terrifyingly clear phrase echoing in his mind: 'I don't want to hurt you.'
At breakfast, Sam cautiously recounted the bizarre incident to his father. Michael, who was already running late for work, just laughed it off.
"Sounds to me like you've been daydreaming, Sam. Maybe what you really need is a girlfriend," Michael joked.
The rest of the family laughed along, but the kitchen remained dead silent between Ana and Sam. They locked eyes, knowing entirely well that something deeply abnormal was trapping them inside Room 1317.
