The Unfinished Fiend is a long-running serial dark fantasy novel set in a fully original world, blending Soulsborne combat weight, Code Vein’s modern-anime aesthetic, dark superhero comic structure, and gothic horror.

Expect committed combat choreography, two-phase boss fights against named Tomb Wanderers, ritual-haunted city architecture, Forbidden-Tongue cosmology, and a slow, deliberately mounting cosmic mystery centered on the founding wound of the world.

This is Year Two of Florid’s career as a hero. He is twenty-three, mutated, distrusted, and already tired. The supporting cast — Captain Solenne Adréval of the Outer-Dome Constabulary, Inquisitor Yvaine Calthorne of the Calthorne cadet branch, Knight-Captain Roel Ahnverest, Squire-Feline, Tessen Allais, and the last Veiled Solace Sorelune — will deepen and complicate as the serial unfolds.

Summary

In the kingdom of Grathelland, the Eclipse is awake. Centuries ago, otherworldly gods invaded the mortal world, bred monsters into the wombs of women and goddesses, and slaughtered everything that wouldn't kneel. They were stopped by a hero from a dimension no one remembers — who tore his own stomach open and bled the sky to sleep. He never woke up. Neither, the Church promised, would the Eclipse. The Church lied. The infection is spreading. Whole districts of Morrenhal lie sealed beneath the metallic domes of Queen's Lust, where the Eclipsed Peeled hunt anything still breathing. The monarchy is dead and walking, ferried through prosthetic vessels by bishops who could detonate the city if they ever stopped concentrating. And the heroes — the Feline, the knighted few among the cursed-born Ferals — answer to a Church that would rather see them burned than blessed. Florid Vanguard is the wrong kind of hero. His left arm is calcified obsidian. His blood remembers the Eclipse. The Church calls him The Unfinished Fiend, and the only reasons he's still alive are a constable named Solenne who answers his comms, a saber called Velvetlament, and the slow, terrible suspicion that the hero who sealed the sky left something inside him on purpose. When a Tomb Wanderer kidnapping turns out to be a signal aimed at something far worse, Florid will learn what he is — and what the world is going to need him to become. The Eclipse is awake. So is he.
